I'd say it's a 50/50 split of being happy about the pick. Those who are unhappy really wanted the TE out of ND. They keep losing to mobile QB's named Mahomes. Keeping him in the pocket or sacked is a big deal and Murphy doesn't have to be "the guy" on day 1 for them. I think it was a good move.

I think Indy taking Richardson #4 is a huge mistake. Their GM will be looking for a new job at the end of next year. These NFL guys are so dumb. Why would you take a guy who sucked in college. Was told today by someone who sat on the committee at the time, that a parking deck was approved for Lot 5...said it was to have a walkway that connected to stadium for fans to walk across to access DV.

He told me this several years ago but today he added that the reason it didnt come to fruition was 9/11 happened and the feds said you couldn't build a parking deck that close to a stadium for fear of bombs.

So it went away.

Any inside knowledge from anyone on here?

So FSU DT Joshua Farmer tweeted that he intends to enter the portal yesterday. He’s a very good RS freshman in their two deep that has held out multiple times for better NIL deals since January. Apparently he didn’t love that FSU brought in that Braden Fiske DT transfer from Western Michigan.

However he did support FSU taking DT Darrell Jackson as a transfer from Miami (2nd transfer) because they are high school buddies. Now Jackson is threatening to leave (even if he has to sit a year) if Farmer leaves which basically means the FSU collective didn’t sweeten the pot for the 4th time in 2023 for a backup.

They might cave and appease both financially since losing both would be a massive blow for FSU, but something to monitor which would weaken them. A new NIL low has been reached of one player holding out for his teammate who has held out 3-4 times since January and who is a backup.
