T.J. Parker named Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week

Clemson DE T.J. Parker and South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers named Walter Camp National FBS Players of the Week, presented by The Heights Group at Morgan Stanley

New Haven, CT
– The Walter Camp Football Foundation has announced the Football Bowl Subdivision National Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for games ending November 16, presented by The Heights Group at Morgan Stanley.

About the Award: This is the 21st year that the Walter Camp Football Foundation will honor one offensive and one defensive player as its national Football Bowl Subdivision player of the week during the regular season. It is the nation’s longest running Player of Week award.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LaNORRIS SELLERS, SOUTH CAROLINA

RS Freshman, Quarterback, Florence, SC

LaNorris Sellers led South Carolina (7-3, 5-3 in the SEC) to a 34-30 win over Missouri. Sellers completed 21-of-30 passes for a career-high 353 yards and a career-high five touchdowns. He added 45 yards rushing, finishing with a career-best 398 yards of total offense.

Notes: It is the seventh time since 2004 that a South Carolina player has earned Walter Camp National FBS Player of Week honors, and the first since Nov. 20, 2022 (QB Spencer Rattler).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

T.J. PARKER, CLEMSON

Sophomore, Defensive End, Phenix City, AL

TJ Parker recorded seven tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 quarterback sacks, one pass breakup and one forced fumble in Clemson's 24-20 win against Pitt. Parker's 4.0 sacks were a career high and tied the Clemson school record. With the win, the Tigers improved to 8-2, 7-1 in the ACC.

Notes: It is the second time this year (Sept. 11, QB Cade Klubnik) that a Clemson player has earned Offensive Player of Week honors. It is also the 14th time a Clemson player has earned Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors since 2004.

Walter Camp, “The Father of American football,” first selected an All-America team in 1889. Camp – a former Yale University athlete and football coach – is also credited with developing play from scrimmage, set plays, the numerical assessment of goals and tries and the restriction of play to eleven men per side. The Walter Camp Football Foundation (www.waltercamp.org) – a New Haven-based all-volunteer group – was founded in 1967 to perpetuate the ideals of Camp and to continue the tradition of selecting annually an All-America team. The Foundation is a member of the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA). Founded in 1997, the NCFAA includes college football's most prestigious awards and its 24 awards have honored more than 900 recipients dating back to 1935. This season, 13 NCFAA awards will honor national players of the week each Tuesday. For more information about the NCFAA and its award programs, visit NCFAA.org or follow on X at @NCFAA.

Dem Rep. Seth Moulton gets it....

Dem Rep. Seth Moulton: “We’ve lost touch with the majority of Americans. Democrats have a habit of preaching down to people and telling them that if they don't 100% agree with our orthodox view, often defined by the far left, then they're just bad people, they're morally wrong. That’s not going to win us any elections.”

Moskowitz: “We have policy issues that are out of touch with the American people.”

This is the way, folks. Get the Dems moving back to center and drop their idiotic far left policies.

Cade Klubnik named The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week

Sent from Clemson's SID:

Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik has been named The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week for the twelfth week of the college football season.

With the Clemson Tigers trailing and on their own 25-yard line with 1:36 to play, quarterback Cade Klubnik led the Tigers 75 yards in three plays for a winning score to lift Clemson to a 24-20 win at Pittsburgh. The winning score came on a 50-yard run from Klubnik. The junior quarterback finished 27-41 for 288 yards and two touchdowns through the air along with his rushing touchdown.

Cade Klubnik is a graduate of Westlake High School in Austin, Texas.

The glass is half full and gosh darn it is a good drink

So the game is at noon but there is a decent chance it is a day you talk about for years to come.

It is not going to be to hot or to cold and the extended forecast is excellent. I feel our team is getting healthy and getting back to being aggressive and thumping the cocks.

This is where it gets epic. Everyone comes back to their tailgates to watch Miami ( and I think Virginia is going to make us watch SMU). It is going to be the longest postgame tailgate in Clemson history as we watch Clemson advance to the ACCCG.
