I know it’s a long way to go and a lot of losing left but listening to Walt earlier a caller had the question if Miami and SMU win out and we have one loss would we be left out of the playoffs. I got to thinking if SMU and Miami have a great game how could they leave any of the three out. I know it probably wouldn’t happen and even if it did we would have to bump the fourth SEC or B10 team. I’m sure they have to find a way to get Vandy in now.

I’m not sure we are there yet. We tend to let up after we score and get a comfortable lead. This seems to happen often. I know we are putting some younger players in the games often but we even have a drop off on defense even with the starters in the game. In my opinion, the coaches need to continue to point that out. We should have never had to put Cade back into the game against Virginia and take a chance at injury. I understand why Dabo had to do it but he should have never been put in that situation. If we want to get back to the days of championship football, we can’t become complacent or have that mich pf a drop off when the 3rd teamers are put in the game. In addition, I really think that we have to have a 2nd string QB that is ready and not just a filler body. Havrn’t seen very good QB play with exception to Cade. Hate to be a backseat fan but I want to get navk to the moutain top and put a towell in Finebaun’s mouth.

For Clemson, we need to win out, have Pitt beat SMU. That puts us in the ACC championship vs. Miami. Even if we lost to SC and beat Miami in the championship game, we are IN!!! SMU has a really easy road if they get by Pitt. We REALLY need Pitt to win that game, so we can control our own destiny. I just don't see Miami losing another game until the championship game. However, Duke could make them sweat. If Duke beats Miami, that would be awesome and give us some breathing room.

Iowa St. - Texas Tech, KS, Cincy, Utah, Kansas St., Big 12 Champ game

For Clemson, it would be best to see both BYU and Iowa St get upset over these next few weeks. Iowa ST. and Kansas ST. will knock out the other in the last week. Winner will probably go to championship game vs. BYU. Key for Clemson is having these three teams lose as many as possibly over these next few weeks. One team will automatically get knocked out between Ia St and Ks St before championship weekend.

Clemson needs UGA to win out knocking out Ole Miss and TN. TX and TX AM will knock each other out. However, I would like SC to knock out TX AM early. I would also like to see ARK or FL knock out TX early. LSU and AL will knock each other out, but it would be great to see them suffer another upset along the way. Maybe FL will knock of LSU and Auburn will knock off AL. Ole Miss won't make it without another loss. Bottom line is that the SEC is going to cannibalize itself. Once teams get 3 losses, they WILL be OUT. Right now Ole Miss, AL, and LSU all have 2. One more an they are dead. I would like for TX and TX AM to also have 2 very soon.

Penn St and Ohio st will knock one of the other off this coming weekend, but they will still be in it. I just don't see another loss for Penn St on that schedule until the championship game vs. OR, so the best thing that could happen would be for Penn St to beat Ohio St giving them 2 losses and for Ohio St to beat IN giving them a loss. I would then love to see MI somehow beat Ohio ST again completely knocking them out. OR is a shoe in for the Big 10 champ game. IN should run the table with Ohio ST there only big game left, so we need Ohio st to beat them in that game. Maybe Michigan could play spoiler for us against IN and Ohio ST.

We need ND to lose again, but not seeing any losses on that schedule. Hopefully Army or USC can knock them off. If so, they will be OUT of the playoff. Otherwise they are in and just waiting for their first game while all of the other teams are playing in championship games. Boise St doesn't play a soul until maybe the MW championship game. Hopefully, they will get knocked off by someone, but it really doesn't affect us as a group of 5 team is in regardless. However, we need the Group of 5 conference winner ranked below the other major conference winners!!! Army if they win out should get the group of 5 pick over Boise ST. IMO. Washington ST is on the outside looking in with a very weak schedule. If Boise ST., loses again though Army and Washington St. are right there to step into take that place.

In 2006, Patricia Watkins thought her son was going to play college football for the Florida Gators.

She had never even heard of Clemson when CJ Spiller traveled for a visit there that changed his life, and their lives.

Last week, Watkins was a part of Spiller's entourage on the field at Death Valley when he was inducted into Clemson's Ring of Honor.

It brought tears to her eyes because the first thing she thought of was when CJ tried to join a youth football team as a 6-year-old and was told he was too young (he spent that season as the water boy instead).

CJ bawled his eyes out that day when told he couldn't play. He was crying again last Saturday, but they were tears of joy and gratitude.

Watkins joins The Dubcast to reflect on the journey since Spiller's recruitment when she first heard the name Dabo Swinney.

Swinney, then the receivers coach, was the key figure in convincing Spiller that Clemson was the place for him.

And then a year later, Swinney was again the catalyst in convincing Spiller to remain at Clemson after he'd made up his mind he was going back home and transferring to Florida to join Urban Meyer, Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin.

I’ll probably watch Notre Dame-Navy for as long as it’s competitive, and probably SMU-Duke. Really hoping either SMU or Miami drops a conference game so we don’t have to worry about any tiebreaker nonsense to make the ACC Championship Game. How about y’all?

With Pitt and Smu winning I would think they would get either the abc noon or possibly 800 prime time game on ABC .

Anyone know when exactly he is supposed to return? I think we need him fully back to be able to have a real chance to win out and am really hoping he’s back for Louisville to start knocking off the rust.

Look, we live a life of abundant choice. From breakfast cereals, clothing, cars to cocktails. We all seem quite fine with this arrangement cause it puts the POWER in the PEOPLE.

Yet, we wonder why there is such vitriol with the POTUS election? BECAUSE there are only 2 choices. Forced, stuffed down our throats. It is literally the most unAmerican thing we do. And no wonder why lying, cheating, stealing, fabricating, falsifying reigns cause each knows they got a 50/50 shot. There are no other alternatives and that’s why the political game is a joke. It’s SOO in American and we take it. And worse, we scoff at 3rd and 4th party emerging parties when we actually need them to keep the Duopoly honest.

The GOOD NEWS?? A capture into how we really think.

State amendments, propositions or whatever your state has to allow voters to actually vote on policy.

I did this for years in California and there are 6 Florida Amendments on the table. Californians actually we choose more conservative propositions and of course that’s never publicized.

Pay attention to the results of these. Why? Cause they require a super majority (60% Florida) in order to pass and they will far exceed the POTUS winning numbers or they will flip hard against what the winning POTUS party “position”.

Point is, Trump will win Florida. But, a few “conservative” amendments will not go the party way. I’m sure the same for California in the opposite direction.

The people are still in charge IF we want it. And I’m just reminding everyone of this fact and the amendment results will prove it out.

I do not hide my disgust for the Dem/Pub parties. They do not represent the people. The amount of FACTS in this election are repetitive proof too numerous to mention. We the People will flex on Amendments.

Will we flex on finally elevating more parties and Independents or just succumb to the constant hate the Dems/Pub live on because they know you have no other choice, by design?
