⚖️ MURDAUGH MURDERS & TRIAL THREAD ⚖️

as much as I have watched

I can’t remember where the golf cart was in all of this

mentioned yesterday by Ball that it was at the house I think

also side by side was parked at shed where Maggie was on ground
imagine being a juror not allowed to take notes

Someone indicated that the jury looked more working class. I'm not sure how AM's description of Maggie not having to work plays well. I realize he's extolling her, but it's along the lines of "it's a house" not a trailer in the 911 call.

the defense doesn’t have to prove anything. That burden is on the state. I’m still not sold that Alec has the balls to shoot his own flesh and blood. The same flesh and blood that he did everything to protect over financial crimes. I don’t buy that. All this evidence is circumstantial, sure it adds up to him being there and he lied. We all know he is a crappy person but I see no evidence he is capable for blowing his sons brains out. If I was on the jury as of this morning I’m not guilty.
Respect your informed opinion, but I can't come up with a reasonable explanation except that he did it

As the firm CFO Jeannie Seckinger testified: "Alex is skilled in the art of bullshit". SO MANY LIES but he still is spinning stories thinking people could believe him.
Based on this thread there are still some people who believe him. We are supposed to believe he is a liar, a drug addict, a thief, but NOT a murderer.

I did hear he dropped Buster. I didn’t hear the whole thing was dropped. I thought I saw that it settled but I’m not sure.
Maybe he told his clients they were suing a broke and in debt man and not worth the effort? They would be way down the line in creditors even if there were assets.
Boat case settled from Maggie’s estate

I know exactly where this is going.

I wonder if they'll tie in his actions on the night of the boat accident, when he and his dad basically pushed everyone around (the kids, hospital staff, and even law enforcement)...

Yeah I feel like Waters is giving him just enough rope to hang himself. Bout to prove he basically was law enforcement and now claims he was paranoid and distrusted law enforcement.

I’m sure that’s where it’s going but if nothing else it’s just further making Alex look like a massively entitled asshole. Put lights in his car and carried a badge in case he got pulled over lol.

Tinsley said he would have dropped the boat case, so there is that significant piece tot he puzzle.
Tinsley didn't say he was going to drop the boat case. He said he wouldn't go after Alex for $$$. He would still go after Parkers, the store that sold them beer.

The video of Tinsley's testimony is on here somewhere. He didn't want to go after Alex's $$$ because he felt sorry for him, but also because the jury would be sympathetic to Alex if his family had just been killed by vigilantes.

Any chance we get a Perry Mason moment where the state gets him to break down on the stand sobbing and admit to the whole thing??? I know it won't happen but we can only hope.
I was thinking this morning that everyone wants to see that, but I bet that is actually pretty rare.

I believe you're correct. That's what I meant but stated poorly.

NCAA needs to get involved and investigate South Carolina for the donations they accepted from Alex Murdaugh. He stole 300k from a quadriplegic unbelievable

He said he would take the insurance and the last offer AM made or work to get as much as he could while then dropping AM from the case. He didn't want a Jury finding against the Beache's b/c they felt sorry for AM. So remove that obstacle form the case so the jury can feel fine to stick it to Parkers.

Prosecutor is just going to go through every financial statement, he's better off just agreeing than stammering around like he is.

Agreed. Alec is going to answer the same way no matte how he many times he asks. Move on.

So he now admits he was there with them about 10-15 minutes before they were killed. So you would have to believe he was the with them, then left on the golf cart to go back to the house, laid down on the couch and fell asleep all within 10-15 minutes and all while not hearing several extremely loud gunshots. Your doubt seems unreasonable. The evidence may be circumstantial but it's pretty powerful and persuasive. There's also no other logical explanation of what happened.
As for hearing gunshots. I believe the DNR officer/gunsmith said he put noise suppressors on rifles. I know several people with noise suppressors on rifles to shoot hogs. I sleep many nights within 1/4 mile to 1/2 mile of where people shoot ducks in early morning. Sometimes it wakes me, but it is the minority of the time. If I go outside I can easily hear it.
I imagine that there is a lot of shooting around him and he would get used to it.

I still think he had something to do with the murders.
