⚖️ MURDAUGH MURDERS & TRIAL THREAD ⚖️

Well...I did too. And it only ever lit up if it was turned over when it started facing down.

If it was facing up and I lifted it up, it stayed dark. Facing down and lifted it up without turning over, stayed dark. Facing up and turned down, stayed dark.

Only time it lit up was when it started facing down and I picked it up and turned it over.

What you described is purely anecdotal evidence...I have anecdotal evidence that contradicts yours. Now what?
I don’t convict a guy of murder with that type of anecdotal evidence. What you just described is reasonable doubt with that evidence.

Waters definitely is lining him up for a haymaker seems like.
Gave the first jab with the badge-on-the-pocket stuff at the hospital.

I don’t believe what he says; but I do think he can come across as believable. As in, can trick 1 person out of 12.

He’s a bullshit artist, the level of Banksy.

Just had a lightbulb moment on at least one apparent lie (and seemingly a big one) with AMs new alibi he told to the jury today.

In reference to when he left the kennels, AM testified today that he "got out of there" immediately after getting Bubba the dog to release the chicken. He said he drove the golf cart back to the house and laid on the couch a bit before driving to see his mother.

Problem with that is his apple phone showed a huge spike in steps during that same time period before leaving Moselle. In fact, his steps were significantly more during that time period than at any other point that evening. Keeping in mind the experts have testified that steps are not recorded while riding in a vehicle.

The steps recorded on his phone show he couldn't have been lying on the couch at that time.

I am ashamed to say I have an iPhone.
Today, with the screen locked and dark I dropped it 12 times from 6 feet onto the floor. The screen never lit up. I took it outside and tossed it 20 feet. It never lit up. I picked it up and it never lit up. I looked away and lightly touched the screen and it lit up. I did it again but looked at it and it unlocked with Face ID. I’m convinced that if I tossed it out of the car onto the side of the road it would not light up unless it fell on a human finger.

I thought they were killed at 8:49? wonder why it’s not showing any data from that time span?

could somebody help match up a couple of the key events (per either prosecution or Ellick) to the chart with the steps/times?? thanks!

His phone was at home while he was at the kennels and possibly killing them - he gets back to house and picks up phone around the 9:02 time stamp and has the phone on him while scurrying around the house getting everything stashed/cleaned up/washed etc

Different phone model or different OS?

What happens if you throw it in the toilet? Let us know.

I can do everything you said and mine lights up every time. It must be a setting thing. I don’t even have to throw mine. I can lock it, lay it face down pick it up and roll it over (Away from me) and it lights up every time. No where near any face and no finger even close to the screen.

As good as Waters has been throughout the trial I feel like he missed a chance today with old Eleck.

Eleck went on about how much he cared about the clients he stole from and was so sorry he did them wrong. Even said that he cares for them to this day. Waters should have went down the road of how much Alex cared for them and how much of a bond he built with them and then asked him when did he decide to steal from them. After the settlement? From the very begging? During the Case?

Oh I am sure Alex wouldn’t have remembered.

So many people don’t think Alex killed Paul or Maggie because he cared for them deeply. He loved his son. Alex said he deeply cared for these clients yet he robbed them blind. He doesn’t mind stealing from those he cared for and loved. He didn’t mind killing others to keep that fact from coming to light.

Well, after just finishing watching AM’s testimony today, l “believe” it has been established that AM can look people that he cares about in the face and lie to them in a very convincing fashion while robbing them blind. It was an interesting moment when he claimed he cared very much about the people he did so wrong. “Maybe” there is a pattern here.

He looked extremely shook up when it was over for the day, and very rattled that Poot’s attempt at break in the cross was denied. I suspect AM is not going to sleep well tonight thinking about what is coming in the morning. Tomorrow should be very interesting.

Could it be that Maggie and Paul found his latest stash of pills and hid them. M& P go to kennels. A starts looking for pills and figures out what happened. Drives golf cart to kennels with gun to threaten them to give him the pills and while seated in the golf cart shoots Paul. Would a drug addict go to this length to get a fix?

i agree----should have asked if he would have stolen more if he didn't like them

I figured he was sitting on the john taking a shyatt like he did before he took the stand today.

mr. murdaugh you have lied to your partners, friends, family, the police, disabled clients, dirt poor clients, quadripeligec clients, grieving clients, old clients, young clients, etc, .... do you have any limitations on who you would lie to?
mr murdaugh, what is harder---going a day without taking opioids or going a day without telling lies?

Mine has raise to wake turned off. As I suspect Maggie’s did.

Good point. If he shot Maggie while sitting in the golf cart - 5'2" assailant.

These were my thoughts also during that cross examination. Hope Waters uses all this masterfully tomorrow or at least in his closing argument. AM is guilty.

Yes, when he said he had to “get out of there” due to the dog commotion was the lie they need to call out with all the step data right after that. I’m sure he will all of a sudden have more memory loss!!

A half folded golf cart windshield makes a decent gun rest for most. Not sure how good it would work for a tall person like AM.

Waters also seemed to be setting up that him lying to law enforcement about his whereabouts because he was paranoid is BS because he considered himself law enforcement with the way he used his solicitor badges to his advantage in situations where he needed it.

What in the world are you talking about? My point was simply...your claim that your phone works in a certain way therefore that means AM couldn't have thrown MM's phone from the car is anecdotal. I tried to recreate with my phone and I could...even so, say you don't 100% buy that ONE piece of evidence, why would the mean you throw out the other 2 dozen?

That has nothing to do with convicting a guy of murder on one item that the state presented over 3 weeks of testimony. That is bonkers.

Every post you make is 100% buying the AM story hook, line and sinker. Your mind is/was made up and you seem to have a serious case of confirmation bias. Anything that confirms your opinion on the matter is 100% air tight, no bubbles; anything that goes against is questioned and weak. Problem is, there is very, very little that suggests AM is innocent. Way more suggests he was involved.

That's the scales of justice, for sure--is the weight strong enough? Clearly you say no; For me, I think it is thus far, but I'm not viewing every piece of information through an already decided on the outcome lens.

As someone who’s had friends get addicted to, and pass away from drugs, he’s showing all the tendencies on the stand of someone who’s having major withdrawals.

Thats why I think the defenses strategy was to take advantage of AM’s current state and portray him on the stand as a confused, emotional & frail old man….It’s not by accident that he’s wearing a blazer that fit him 50 pounds ago.

Think about this, people...

If Alex were innocent, he would've immediately told 911 and LE that he was JUST RIGHT THERE WITH THEM AT THE KENNELS. "I was down here with them right before I left and they were fine, I had to get the chicken out the dog's mouth, they were fine!" He'd be frantic to assist LE with this accurate and possibly extremely helpful information.

An innocent man has no reason to lie about being there, because an innocent man does not know their time of death and doesn't really know he needs to lie. An innocent Alex doesn't know if they died at 8:49 or 10:04. Only a guilty man knows their time of death is so close to 8:44, and thus he needs to remove himself from the scene.

Just think.

How long does withdrawal last. At this point he's been in jail for 4 or 5 months.

Reported on Courtv that 2 female jurors cried when A was talking about “Mags” and “Paul Paul” and one handed him the Kleenex box. I think we will definitely have a hung jury.

I said weeks ago that I thought there was a good chance Alex would take the stand, and that he's very charismatic and likable. You can't steal as much as he did for as long as he did without being extremely likable and relatable. He has a few in this thread eating from his palm, and may very well have a juror or two doing the same. A hung jury would not surprise me.

You seem very wound up. I didn’t mean to push you over the edge man. I’ve tried to take the evidence presented in the courtroom, nothing else, and weigh it.

I haven’t read a blog or watched a mini series or anything from Netflix or the like.

There are days I’ve missed and had to reread or watch but I’ve tried to only weigh what’s been presented in the courtroom.

As for the post you quoted maybe I misunderstood your point.

As far as where the case currently is, I think the prosecutor is doing a good job of showing Alex to be a guy capable of being heartless to those he “cared about” and that he had no problem taking advantage and using law enforcement whenever it suited him.

It’s going to be interesting watching tomorrow to see how the prosecutor tears apart the testimony from Alex this morning,

Still pretty confident we get a hung jury.

Doesn’t have to be a physical withdrawal like you see when someone is suddenly shutoff from a drug. I’m assuming his only way of coping with stress for many years was popping pills, and then he went over the cliff after Paul’s boat accident. So you’ve got someone who’s never had to face the consequences of their actions… now having to do it in a public forum without being able to use drugs as a crutch.
