"During the forming of the audit process, Ken Bennett offered his services as a liaison between the Senate and the auditors. As a past Arizona Secretary of State, Senate President and a family friend for decades, I couldn’t imagine anyone better for this position. Knowing the auditors were from out of state and would need someone to coordinate with the Senate, Maricopa County Supervisors and Elections department, and assist with the logistics in conducting an audit that is the first of its kind in the nation, he is an asset to everyone in the state.
At the July 15th Senate hearing, Mr. Bennett was the expert testifier in describing the problems the audit has encountered since the first day, due to internal problems at the Maricopa County Elections department. Lack of chain of custody, ballot boxes mismarked, duplicate ballots with no corresponding numbers as required by law, and ballots haphazardly stuffed into boxes, to only name a few of the problems encountered. Maricopa County continues to withhold vital information from the public and the auditors which has created additional costs, months of delays and a lack of transparency on their part. Instead of working with the Senate, our constituents, and the auditors, Maricopa County has engaged in a social media campaign to try to control the narrative, instead of providing the whole truth, facts and items required to be produced by the legal subpoenas.
The physical counting of the ballots and machines will be fully complete this week and returned to Maricopa County. Since Maricopa County has been less than cooperative, a question came up a few weeks ago about what happens if the audit numbers don’t match with Maricopa County’s numbers? Our attorney suggested the Senate perform an independent counting of each ballot paper prior to the ballots being returned. This has been accomplished under the direction and authority of the Senate by Randy Pullen, who is a retired auditor with a nationally renowned auditing firm.
This past week members of the media have asked why Mr. Bennett is not engaged in this part of the Senate ballot verification procedure. As Mr. Bennett was quoted in the media, “I shared some box counts of how many ballots were in each box, and that got leaked to the press and I apologized to Senate President Fann. I had promised that information would not be leaked to the press, but it indirectly got done, so that’s how I got barred from the audit".
The auditors are doing the job they were hired to do, albeit more difficult than originally planned due to Maricopa County withholding vital documents and information, which appears to be purposely withholding the truth from the voters. When any audit is complete, the results are explained with supporting documentation of proof to the client. It is irresponsible to disclose partial information to the media since they are not “confirmed” facts until the audit is final. This only leads to confusion and misinformation with the public. For that reason, it is imperative anyone working with the audit is required to adhere to the rules of not disclosing unconfirmed information.
With the completion of the “hands on" work this week, the auditors will now be doing the analysis of all the data collected to submit the results. We sincerely hope Maricopa County will produce the missing documents and information we have requested for the audit to be complete and finalized. The voters deserve to know their votes are safe, secure and legally counted. To that end, Ken Bennett will be involved and a vital part of the draft and final reports to ensure their accuracy with his knowledge and contributions throughout the audit process."

It's obvious they didn't get the result they wanted and will keep moving the goalposts indefinitely so they can say Maricopa county was hiding something that prevented them from finding the fake fraud.
Incompetence is one factor, but it’s hard to avoid the impression that Cyber Ninjas and their Senate overseers want to keep it going until they find something to retroactively justify their efforts. It’s increasingly clear that if the audit doesn’t produce anything significant soon, its sponsors will claim it is “incomplete” because of alleged gaps in the data supplied by Maricopa County, leaving plenty of room for Team Trump to claim a symbolic victory and for conspiracy theorists to continue to spin tales.
Two Republican state senators have said the audit was “botched,” including Michelle Ugenti-Rita, who advocated for tightening the state’s election laws in the wake of Trump’s loss. Democrats, who are in the minority in the Senate, have opposed the audit from the start.
“I wanted to review our election processes and see what, if anything, could be improved,” Ugenti-Rita wrote July 24 on Twitter. “Sadly, it’s now become clear that the audit has been botched.”

Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli has another tool in the toolbox that he has been waiting to use.
When a law has been violated, The Attorney General shall provide notice that the county, city, or town has 30 days to resolve the violation. If they fail to resolve the violation within 30 days, the treasurer shall withhold state shared revenue from the county, city, or town. Shared funds will not be returned to the county, city, or town until the violation is resolved.

Furthering the theory on Monday, Watkins implied Trump fans were closer than ever to overturning the election. He specifically cited a “whistleblower” release of manuals for voting machines made by Dominion, the company that has sued Fox News and other outlets for falsely implicating it in election fraud conspiracy theories.
As one podcaster quickly noted on Twitter, those manuals were already freely available online.
And don't look now, but the Cyber Ninjas and the AZ Senate have to immediately turn over all documentation related to the "audit". They claimed full transparency, but fought in court to keep these secret.

Arizona Senate Majority Whip Sonny Borrelli believes state Attorney General Mark Brnovich will act quickly on the lawmaker’s request to investigate Maricopa County’s noncompliance with election audit subpoenas.
In a Tuesday filing to the attorney general’s office, Borrelli cited multiple state statutes the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has violated by failing to supply the materials sought in a July 26 subpoena issued by Arizona Senate President Karen Fann and Senate Judiciary Chair Warren Petersen.
Among other items, the subpoena sought access to the routers used during the November general election and the passwords for the Dominion Voting Systems ballot tabulation devices.
“I’m really confident that the attorney general will follow through with this,” Borrelli told One America News Network on Thursday, regarding his investigation filing, which is known as a 1487 request.

“The attorney general did send an amicus brief, if you will, when the county was challenging us on our subpoena,” the senator added.
Access to the routers and tabulation device passwords were both listed in the original subpoena issued in December and reissued in January, but Maricopa County and Dominion have not complied.
Maricopa County took the state Senate to court in December seeking to block enforcement of the subpoena.
Later that month, Brnovich’s office filed a brief looking to persuade Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Timothy Thomason, who was overseeing the case, to enforce the subpoena.
The judge “should recognize the Arizona Legislature’s broad authority to issue and enforce legislative subpoenas,” wrote Brnovich aide, Michael Catlett, a deputy solicitor general, according to the Arizona Capitol Times.

“You’ve got to give him something for him to act on. Now I’m giving him something for him to act upon and that is, they’re challenging the direct authority of the state Senate,” the lawmaker said.
“This is pretty much handed to him on a silver platter,” Borrelli added. “Normally, this would take a 30-day window, but since he’s already weighed in on our favor with the courts, it’s already done.”
“It’s a no-brainer. The statute’s pretty clear: Contempt and disobedience of a subpoena is a class II misdemeanor,” the senator said, referring to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1154.
Class II misdemeanors carry a penalty of up to four months in jail and a $750 fine.
Borrelli also pointed out the attorney general can direct after 30 days that 10 percent of state-shared revenue to the county can be cut for not complying, which would be over $61 million.
“On top of that is the jail time and a personal fine,” he said, “which I hope they get all of it.”

If a violation is found, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will have 30 days to resolve it. If they fail, “the Attorney General will notify the State Treasurer, who shall withhold and redistribute from Maricopa County state shared monies”.
The law was clearly violated and Brnovich needs to decide if he is going to fight for the voters or let these criminals go.
