Last year I got 24k in bonuses and a 2% raise. The year before that it was the same.
This year I got a 4% raise and 3.5k bonus so far and I got 500 dollar bonus to my 401k. Which was specifically itemized and sold to us as because of the tax bill. Now I'm not ungrateful for the extra cash, but no, its not crazy amount.
I'll have to look at the taxes on my upcoming paystub, I'm of course happy to get more of my money in my pocket. My wife and I are now expecting our 2nd child so... its gonna get tight around here.
I guess I'd like to point out that as this whole partisan debate continues... I'm not on the side of people that hates poor people. So whatever side that is. Thanks.

Given that you served, I am surprised that it does not still bother you today (especially since Trump never apologized). My father served in Vietnam after attending Clemson. I know that seeing Trump march out with servicemen and women at the National Championship game made him ill.
Yep, all true. You might be surprised to know I didn't vote for Trump in the primary. Almost did but I was a little undecided. I quickly got on board. I continue to support him because I think he is exactly the type POTUS this country needs. These are different times. I wanted this country headed in a different direction than the last 8 years. Couldn't take another 4 years of the left agenda being stuffed down my throat. President Trump is doing a great job and trying to make good on campaign promises. Country is cycling up and ISIS is down. Trump is getting it done. He will be reelected in my opinion. If he's running.... I'm voting for him.

We are all watching, in real time, the collapse of the big-government model on which the house of liberalism has been built. The only question remaining is, when will those on the far left accept the results, rather than the intentions of the big government model?
The left runs on the idea that a big government can solve big problems, yet this model has not only not solved any of our big problems, but it has created new ones, while aggravating old ones created by prior administrations. Think about where we were under the last President: a border crisis on our southern border, a civil war in Iraq, an aggressive expansion of Russian territory, China was building a freaking island for their military, a historically unpopular healthcare initiative, record numbers of Americans receiving disability payments from the government, a crisis where our own IRS admits to targeting Americans, then pleads the 5th, then “loses” only the emails of the suspects involved, destroys their hard-drives and tells us nothing is wrong. And where was our President on these issues?
The great orator was issuing public statements on how he disagrees with the name of an NFL team. Calling this type leadership-(giving speeches) is either willfully misleading or un-willfully blind.
Thankfully most of the mess has been cleaned up and Obama's legacy has been all but erased.
