I'm intrigued. Haven't watched CNN in 7 years and I'm interested to see what kind of deal they made with Trump. Are they really trying to turn the corner towards the center, or are they still just deep state regurgitators? It will take years to rebuild the brand but you have to start somewhere. And no one better than Trump to bring in the ratings.
It would be more interesting if it was a mixed audience but I read it would be an audience of NH Repubs and Independents, so he probably won't get the toughest questions. I'd watch but flying to Colorado tomorrow for three days of meetings in Estes Park and we'll all be at a bar tomorrow night.
Report back on how it goes.

I'm sure there is a stipulation that Trump can't call CNN "Fake News".
But I'm wondering what did CNN promise Trump? Fair coverage? I don't think that would have been enough of a guarantee to get him back on CNN. There had to be something else they pledged to him?

The people who say they won't watch it will be the 1st to complain about what he said....lol
They want Trump to win the primary. This helps him do that. Because they know if Trump wins the primary, a democrat retains the White House. It’s not complicated. So I’m sure they gave him some assurances of fair treatment and a friendly audience.
My vote is not based on what "They" want.

I don’t like it, but they don’t have any other leverage to get anything done. Two of the proposed changes were basically universally agreed on by dems on this board yesterday. So perhaps both sides can make good, logical, fiscally responsible changes through this and actually help the country.

I thought the same thing about executive orders until I read a report on it a year or so ago. In the era of social media, every presidential action is known the moment it becomes an idea. Before social media and especially television, Americans simply trusted their president and read the newspapers to stay as informed as possible. Most folks had no idea.

This is it. The minute Trump opens his mouth, people remember why they hate him. I personally have a visceral reaction to him. If he could ever show a minute amount of personal responsibility he could possibly sway people, but his insistence on doubling down will fire the left up.
