CNN - Trump Town Hall

The liberal meltdowns on twitter this morning are amazing. Lots of butt hurt liberal tears this AM.

What it does show though is the GOP would be f*cking stupid to trot Trump out as the candidate. No one unites the left like he does.
He does fire up the left but the so called moderator was causing 80% of the trouble. She was bringing up the lightning rod subjects and interrupting Trump constantly when the entire town hall was supposedly for him to speak. CNN ran it like an inquisition and Trump still owned them and came out looking good so the left gets pissed off.

It’s a crowd of 400 republicans cheering him on as he recounts the sexual assault case, and Collins is getting steamrolled by him.

So it’s going about as expected

I tuned in for about one minute to hear him dodging the question about a national abortion ban. Realized it was not worth listening to. He did look weird all slouched over like some kind of troll. Not very presidential.

That moderator was hot. I hope she doesn’t get too many maga death threats today.

I do find it interesting that Trump consistently doubles down to his base and doesn't appear to try to widen his messaging at all. If he would avoid being so bombastic and insulting, he could appeal to some independents. Continuing to insult the lady who just beat you in court for sexual abuse doesn't help. Just avoid the topic, just state it's a legal matter and we are appealing and move on. He just can't resist.

This is why he will win the nomination and lose the election.

I thought the same thing about executive orders until I read a report on it a year or so ago. In the era of social media, every presidential action is known the moment it becomes an idea. Before social media and especially television, Americans simply trusted their president and read the newspapers to stay as informed as possible. Most folks had no idea.
This was a great link! Thank you for sharing

Look at Franky D, my goodness!

His slouch was odd and the expressions on his face looked unhappy. The moderator was hot.

Trump did a good job overall. Held is own and made the moderator look very biased at times. Particularly the part about Russia and Ukraine. She asked him if he wanted Ukraine to win the war. He responded that he didn't see it as winning or losing, that he just wants people to stop dying. She then goes on to ask him 2 more times if he wants Ukraine to win the war. Kinda BS if you ask me.

I'm intrigued. Haven't watched CNN in 7 years and I'm interested to see what kind of deal they made with Trump. Are they really trying to turn the corner towards the center, or are they still just deep state regurgitators? It will take years to rebuild the brand but you have to start somewhere. And no one better than Trump to bring in the ratings.

They want Trump to be the nominee. That's it. He'll step in his own turd and they know it.

Yep, I'm a fan also and he's a former investment banker so should have a more robust fiscal understanding which is needed at the moment.
Kamala would not even think about debating Byron Donalds. That wouldnt even be fair.

I was put off a little by Byron on the panel. I get him not wanting to disparage Trump, but not being willing to say at all, either way, whether he felt the election was stolen was weird to me. That really shouldn't be a hard question. It's also becoming a bit of a litmus test for me about a candidate to check their level of crazy

Compared to Joey?
It backfired on CNN. The leftist remarks to this whole interview remind me of a bunch of Gamecock fans!

Yea that’s weird. For someone to not be able to say something as simple as Trump lost the election. He made some good points, but that’s a red flag to moderates.

Yeah. He was clearly the odd man out on the panel as the lone Trump supporter and his political future is fairly tightly woven with Trump, so I get it. But it's still weird to watch someone dodge this question," Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election, yes or no?".

I’ll give CNN credit. They hosted Trump with a pro Trump audience, albeit a lefty moderator. And the panel afterwards had two people on the right and a moderate “Republican voter.” So more balance than they have had before and more than you see elsewhere.

Would love to see them become a left of center network and fox to shift and become a right of center network. That’s better for everyone than far left and far right options.
