A friend (57 yo female) in excellent health (0 comorbidities) has just recently returned from a European River Cruise and got sick while there along with a whole bunch of people. This friend got REAL, REAL sick to the point that she went straight from the airport to the hospital the other night when she arrived back. Got 2 bags of fluids in ER, and doc prescribed Paxlovid, some sort of inhaler, Tylenol, and Advil and sent her on her way home. She has steadily gone downhill. Her husband has to help her walk around the house she's so weak now. This woman is incredibly fit (9 Round aficionado) She eats clean, doesn't drink very much, nothing that would lead me to believe she can't shake this. But I'm seriously starting to worry. Does anyone know of any weird variant that's active now?
Please pray for my friend. She's really struggling, and she's very scared now too.
interesting tidbit....she hasn't lost her taste or smell. But hospital did tests and confirmed Covid.
