Sincerely appreciate your comment.
Wife was (retired in August) a VP at Marsh McLennan (Risk Management/Insurance). She more than pulled/pulls her weight and is a true partner that helped get us where we are today.
My wife always tell me about my faults and rarely about my good points LOL
That said because I worked in engineering I was thought of myself more as a solutions based person rather than a drama based crybaby
That being said I ask myself what can be done to help California solve the problem
One big issue on reducing fire risks is to reduce the ability of burning embers to be blown by high winds into piles of dry brush
So heres crazy throw it out brainstorm idea
Instead of mechanical people based brush reduction lets consider how to use SHEEP or GOATS on the hills and mountainous areas to create buffer areas that are not massive brush piles
The buggers will eat down to the nubs so no fuel for fires
Of course it would require grazing range relocation along with harvesting herd animals
Don’t know to contain the creatures but I loved it that Clemson a few years back had a herd on the area around the stadium eating the brush on the steep hills that could not be mowed by conventional means
Think of all the meat and wool raised
Of coyotes and mountain lions would love the food chain supply
I can say with technology and AI this is not a off the wall crazy thought
Those animals can climb almost any slope and eat
So my contribution on ideas that are crazy LOL
