I just don’t see how anyone with even a modicum of historical knowledge can look at what’s been going on in Florida and not see Fascist finger prints all over the place. Banning books and other literature on the grounds of “indoctrination,”punishing private businesses for opposing legislation, systematically persecuting a specific group of people, altering school curriculum to create a pro-state historical narrative, altering voting rights and how election results are certified, this is all straight out of the fascist/authoritarian playbook.

It's truly dystopian and don't forget they also gerrymandered two black districts out of representation.

Scary that this is the type of leadership the Right applauds and would be all-in if he would do it on a national scale. SMH

That makes it even worse - this parent was able to get this book removed and didn't even understand the difference between the foreword written by Oprah, and the author.
