Dominion Lawsuit against FoxNews

Fox feared its viewers would actually see (they can rightly assume their viewers don’t read the text messages that were part of the record) their heroes on the witness stand disparaging Donald Trump and the wackos who argued Dominion‘s algorithms stole the election for Biden.

That would crater the ratings. Imagine Tucker Carlson having to read his text message saying he hates Trump with a passion.

You don’t pay $787 million if you think you are innocent of libel.

Yes y'all have been blustering about "bombshell proof" for 8 years now about one thing or another. Any time, at this point, would be a good time to "go scorched earth," as you put it.

Is that the same as releasing the kraken? I need to know because I'm using the Trump party as inspiration to write a really awesome children's fantasy adventure book.
Yep...yet another BOMB SHELL election fraud claim. I wonder how many of these BS claims there've been over the last 3 years?

It's like Jake Bentley still saying we weren't better than them at all, AFTER the outcome had been decided for all the world to see.

We're not even debating the issue anymore, and they're still acting like it's up for discussion.

I can't imagine watching 3 hours of anything political in a single night, yet alone some awful rage porn like Hannity/Ingraham/Carlson. No wonder your shit is so askew
I walk my dog past a house every night at some point between 8-11, and there is this huge bay window and anyone can see what's on the television any time they go by. The dude inside is never watching anything besides Tucker, Hannity, and Fraulein Ingram.

I've seen the cops there on multiple occasions and it's definitely because his wife/girlfriend called them. I've also seen other clear signs he has an anger management problem. I can't imagine what 15 hours a week of that, plus whatever other media he consumes, is doing to his psyche.

Be careful man... Your dog gets on his lawn, and we could easily have another shooting.

Bill O’Reilly's take on the outcome....

“Big energy in liberal media corridors as Fox News is punished for foolish coverage of the 2020 election,” O’Reilly said in a statement on his website. “This is what happens when money becomes more important than honest information. Since I left FNC [Fox News Corp], the template changed from ‘Fair and Balanced’ to ‘tell the audience what it wants to hear.’”

O’Reilly, who was one of the company’s main attractions for more than 20 years with his show “The O’Reilly Factor,” left Fox News in 2017 after he and the company settled lawsuits with a number of women who accused the host of misconduct.

Fox News was facing a $1.6 billion lawsuit from Dominion, which was centered on the cable network’s coverage of former President Trump and his allies’ false claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election. The suit was settled just hours before opening arguments in the trial started Tuesday in Delaware.

O’Reilly said in the statement that when he told his audience he did not think federal courts would accept the allegations of election fraud by former President Trump, he lost “more than one thousand premium members.”

“So be it. I did my job,” O’Reilly said. “Money is not the motivating force in this operation.”

He argued Fox News “saw it differently” and said the “nightmare” will go on at the cable company, citing its vulnerability to lawsuits from other voting system companies and company shareholders.

“Fox News saw it differently, and now payment has been rendered,” O’Reilly said. “But the nightmare will continue for FNC.”

O-Reilly made his personal mistakes and it cost him his job at Fox. However, I still believe he was forced out mainly because the network knew he would never be a host that would "tell the audience what it wants to hear", which is where Fox was headed in 2017 with Trump as President. They knew there were billions to be made as the "anti-Fake News" voice. Of course, we know "Fake News" means anything that Trump disagrees with or disparages him. They could not lead off the 8-11 timeslot with a guy that shoots it straight - it would undue what Hannity was going to be saying at 9:00 and so on. Tucker Carlson is the perfect lead-off hitter for their current business model.

Hahaha, first casualty from the lawsuit falls and it couldn't have happened to a bigger asshole. The rumor is Judge Jeanine and Maria Bartiromo are next. 😁

LoL that's on brand for Oreilly.
He's right about everything except the "since I left" part. Fox News has never been anything close to fair and balanced.

Well this verdict will set an important precedent for Trump to sue all the major networks over the Trump Russia Collusion scam. He will recoup that billion he lost while serving the American people.

You really just have such awful instincts for this stuff. Trump would already have sued them if he was going to. Trump doesn't wait to see if he's able to do anything btw, he just does what he wants and lets the chips fall where they may.

He ain't suing anyone because it would open him up to discovery in civil court, and the entire operation would get fully exposed. Trump knows he got away with those and he ain't revisiting them in court. He's practical about this stuff.

How the hell does that make sense? They were reporting on an active investigation and they didn't know the outcome. Besides, there was a lot of fallout as a result of that investigation, so let's stop pretending like it was a nothingburger.

Its already been proven they knew it was not true from the beginning so no.

Bullshit, there was no way to know it wasn't true from the beginning and if it was known, the Republicans who opened the investigation wouldn't have done so. Trump also wasn't acquitted and refused to sit for a deposition so they never even heard from the horse's mouth. All you MAGAs should be sued for colluding against the networks IYAM.

Its open knowledge that they knew it wasnt true from way back and ran with it anyway. Your echo chamber and cognitive dissonance prevent you from acknowledging it. They knew it was fake and now need to PAY!! I am thinking Trump will rake in at least 2 billion from this if he wants it.

Of course you are, and you'll be right there to contribute whatever you need to get him there. You are a conman's ideal target.

“The side of good is characterized by calmness, tranquility, peace, lack of conflict, cleanliness,” Carlson said. “And evil is characterized by their opposites.”

How can someone believe this quote and staunchly support Trump, who is none of the good characteristics?

This is straight up nazi propaganda. It's subtle, but it's more overt than it was 5 years ago, and it'll be much worse in 5 more years if Smartmatic isn't willing to risk the L to expose these pigfvckers for what they are.
