I think that's probably a smart idea. It strips Fox News of the ability to spin this as a cash grab. My God this is going to be so gratifying. Schadenfreude thy name is okclem today.
This should still have a financial impact beyond the amount of the lawsuit because Fox is wholly dependent on carriage fees and don't need advertising at all to be profitable. This means when they try to jack up their rates, cable companies can leverage this moment to say they won't go along with the rate increase because they don't have to. Many people may not know that Fox's carriage fees are the second highest behind ESPN as part of their cable bill, whether they watch it or not. Fox is essentially boxed in.I think that's probably a smart idea. It strips Fox News of the ability to spin this as a cash grab. My God this is going to be so gratifying. Schadenfreude thy name is okclem today.
So they settled for half - still a HUGE settlement! Sounds like they may have let them off the hook from admitting lying on the air but I love it that it cost them a fortune!Hmm

They still have the Smartmatic lawsuit coming up for 2.7 billion as well 🤣Foxnews may not survive
"spin" .....lolz, now do the dems.I think that's probably a smart idea. It strips Fox News of the ability to spin this as a cash grab. My God this is going to be so gratifying. Schadenfreude thy name is okclem today.
This is just more election fraud bullshit. That issue has been decided.
Why wasn't it bullshit in 2016 though? When folks like yourself couldn't fathom a guy like Trump actually winning i.......what's the material difference? This is just more election fraud bullshit. That issue has been decided.
I have no idea what you're blathering about, but nobody claimed election fraud in 2016.Why wasn't it bullshit in 2016 though? When folks like yourself couldn't fathom a guy like Trump actually winning i.......what's the material difference?

Going on three years now since this conspiracy theory started about Dominion and after them winning a 787 million dollar judgment for the lies told about them, your money is on a guy named KanekoatheGreat to have discovered something that no one else thought about til now? You keep getting worse Jake SMH
It does make ya wonder …. How much revenue does Fox News bring in anyways? I can’t imagine that the My Pillow guy and Rosland Capital commercials pay too many billsThey still have the Smartmatic lawsuit coming up for 2.7 billion as well 🤣
Actually, advertisers have abandoned them in droves, but it hasn't hurt them because most of their money is made from cable carriage fees. The number I heard was they bring in roughly a billion in yearly revenue, most of it from these fees. There are 90 million cable customers and almost all of them are required to pay for a package that includes FoxNews, whether they want it or not and since their fees are the 2nd highest behind ESPN, they're making a killing. As far as the settlement money, I'm not sure but they may have insurance to cover it.It does make ya wonder …. How much revenue does Fox News bring in anyways? Albeit it wasn’t a very good one … but your reasonable and factual response ruined my joke … thanks.Actually, advertisers have abandoned them in droves, but it hasn't hurt them because most of their money is made from cable carriage fees. This is why we can’t have nice things
Not true. I see other channels including espn with dead air time during commercial breaks, but it never happens on Fox.Actually, advertisers have abandoned them in droves, but it hasn't hurt them because most of their money is made from cable carriage fees. You don't pay someone nearly $800 million just to go away.Guys. I was and am pissed at Fox due to them not covering election fraud adequately and thats a fact. Having a few guests on and letting them give an opinion for a very short window of time is not an endorsement from the network itself. Yall are off your little commie rockers. This is Fox paying them to go away and its that simple. Once again I am not a Fox fan either.
These so-called “patriotic experts” lied to the American people, interfered in our elections, and never apologized for it or faced any punishment whatsoever. They are the supposed nonpartisan group of top spies looking out for the best interest of the nation.
But the 51 former “intelligence” officials who cast doubt on The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop stories in a public letter really were just desperate to get Joe Biden elected president. And more than a year later, even after their Deep State sabotage has been shown again and again to be a lie, they refuse to own up to how they undermined an election.
The officials, including CNN pundit and professional fabricator James Clapper — a man who was nearly charged for perjury for lying to Congress — signed a letter saying that the laptop “has the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
They’ve got the “goods” on Joe? If so, perhaps it’s time for the GOP to show voters they’re ready to go scorched earth on the cheating Biden Regime.Aided by two Obama-era witnesses, congressional investigators led by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan have developed the first evidence that a letter from security experts that falsely dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation during the 2020 election had ties to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.
Jordan told Just the News he expects to release a report from the House panel on weaponization of government later this month that lays out out evidence and the players behind the letter, which many Republicans now say was a consequential interference in the last presidential election.
“It was all done with politics, and it looks like there was some some real connections with the Biden campaign,” Jordan said during an interview late last week on the John Solomon Reports podcast, declining to be more specific because there are more witness interviews being conducted this week.

Lou Dobbs reacts to Fox settlement: the issues of the 2020 election remain unresolved
Dobbs said that he was happy that the Fox settlement was resolved, but issues from the 2020 election still need to be acknowledged

Political commentator and former television host Lou Dobbs said Monday that he was surprised to see Fox News settle in the recent lawsuit with Dominion.
"My reaction is, I was surprised to see them settle and to make agreements on a number of things," Dobbs told the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "But this is the course of settlements."
Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems reached a settlement Tuesday in a $1.6 billion defamation case against the cable news network.
Dominion argued that Fox defamed the company by knowingly allowing guests on their shows to peddle false accusations that the 2020 presidential election was rigged and that Dominion's voting machines were involved. Fox had contended that it was protected by the First Amendment and that the allegations against the company were newsworthy.
"I think it's good in one way to get this behind for Fox," Dobbs continued. "It is good for Dominion...And you know, we're now at least at a resolution. It was a tough time for the country."
Dobbs argued that it still had to be acknowledged that all the issues in 2020 were not settled.
"The suggestion that these issues are settled is to ignore the reality," he added. "And the reality is that three states with a total of 42,000 votes decided who the President was. Some of those states at this very moment are still very much in question by millions of people."
He said that there would be many questions about the 2020 election for years to come.
"It was, I think, the most tragic election in the country's history," stated Dobbs. "There will be many questions asked for a very, very long period of time. Unfortunately, the answer should have already been before the American people, but the federal government failed them. The court system failed them and that's my opinion."
They also knew Dominion had the goods and a guilty verdict was likely, which could have resulted in punitive damages as well. This was the cheaper, easier way out in the end.The fact is foxnews didn't believe what they were reporting and didn't want their show hosts to have to testify about it.

I gotta ask. Is that really how you think it works on TV? When people pull their sponsorships it's just dead air during the time the commercial would have been running?Fake news...you been fooled bro. I watch Tucker, Hannity, and Laura nightly and no empty commercial space to be seen.
Yes y'all have been blustering about "bombshell proof" for 8 years now about one thing or another. Any time, at this point, would be a good time to "go scorched earth," as you put it.Never forget that we know the truth all you haters.

When you talk about election meddling, you can’t forget what Dems did in 2020 by shamelessly burying the Hunter Biden laptop story via censorship and lies. It was one of the biggest “all hands on deck” flagrant abuses of power many of us have witnessed in a US election. Sadly, 2020 had a lot of shocking and disheartening moments like that.
However, the cherry on top of the left’s censorship sundae was when 51 former “top intel” officers signed a letter claiming Hunter’s laptop was “Russian disinformation” without even investigating the device. But when Hunter’s laptop was confirmed “real,” those bums clammed up real quick.
The New York Post:
These so-called “patriotic experts” lied to the American people, interfered in our elections, and never apologized for it or faced any punishment whatsoever.
Let freedom ring.
Unfortunately, it gets worse.
We’re now discovering the “Spies Who Lied” were actually Biden flunkies. Many of us realized this straight away, however, the media quickly brushed us off as unhinged “Q-kooks” and Russian bots.
Now, Matt Gaetz has stepped into the picture with what many call “irrefutable proof,” that Biden’s team did in fact orchestrate that infamous letter.
Just The News:
They’ve got the “goods” on Joe? If so, perhaps it’s time for the GOP to show voters they’re ready to go scorched earth on the cheating Biden Regime.
Did they accuse the deep stage of rigging the election and compromising Dominion voting machines?
