I don’t know about you, but my turkey prices have gone way up. We paid around $115 this year for a 12.5 lb bird. Another $90ish for a 7.5 lb breast. Now I’m buying a high-quality organic, fresh turkey, but the price per pound is still nearly double what it was when I started doing that several years back.
Publix at Queensborough sells Turkeys as a loss leader on Thanksgiving week. I got 2, 15 lb Turkeys for $6 each.
Can’t beat fresh, not frozen, birds, and some members of my family are particular about organic. I got mine from here. They were fantastic.

The cost of turkeys are actually on a decrease from the last few years. I'm not sure if that's reflected in the specialty birds you're buying from private farms, but the generic turkeys you see at grocery stores are all cheaper than they've been in previous years.
I'm pretty sure the mouthbreather that spouted this trash wasn't trying to appeal to the fresh, organic crowd. Turkey prices have actually gone down this year from 2022.
