Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) has released a batch of documents, referred to as “The Facebook Files, Part 1,” proving Facebook’s compliance with the Biden regime’s request to censor specific content on its platform.
Through a series of tweets on Thursday, Rep. Jordan said that these never-before-released internal documents, obtained via Judiciary Committee subpoena, proved that Facebook and Instagram altered their content moderation policies and censored posts under pressure from the White House.
“During the first half of 2021, social media companies like Facebook faced tremendous pressure from the Biden White House—both publicly and privately—to crack down on alleged “misinformation,” Jordan wrote.

According to an internal email in April 2021 for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg, an employee stated Facebook was continually pressed by “external stakeholders,” including the Biden White House, to remove certain posts.
“What did the Biden White House want removed? A meme. That’s right, even memes weren’t spared from the Biden White House’s censorship efforts,” said Jordan.

The meme has now garnered 385k shares since April 2021, and has 19k reactions.


“We are seeking your guidance on whether to take more aggressive action against certain vaccine discouraging content,” according to the email.
“We are facing continued pressure from external stakeholders, including the White House and the press, to remove more COVID-19 vaccine discouraging content. For example, we recently shared with the White House a list of the top 100 vaccine-related posts on FB in the U.S. for the week of 4/5-4/11. While authoritative information dominated the list, the White House was concerned that the #3 post was a vaccine discouraging humorous meme, and they called on us to delete the meme,” the email concluded.

Another internal communication in the same month, from Facebook’s President for Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, highlighted an interaction with Andy Slavitt, a Senior Advisor to President Biden. Slavitt was reportedly “outraged” that Facebook didn’t remove a particular post.

According to Jordan, Clegg’s response emphasized the potential violation of free expression norms in the US; however, this argument was seemingly disregarded by Biden’s Senior Advisor, Andy Slavitt.
“I countered that removing content like that would represent a significant incursion into traditional boundaries of free expression in the US but he replied that the post was directly comparing Covid vaccines to asbestos poisoning in a way which demonstrably inhibits confidence in Covid vaccines amongst those the Biden Administration is trying to reach. [It would be very helpful if someone could please check whether this content was also available on YT – Andy’s assumption is that YT would never accept something like this],” according to the email.
Brian Rice, Facebook’s VP of public policy, said in an April email that the company’s relationship with the Biden regime was at a “crossroads” because of Slavitt’s demand.
In the spirit of repairing relations and avoiding potentially damaging consequences, Facebook officials considered reassessing their ties with the Biden regime.
““Given what is at stake here, it would also be a good idea if we could regroup and take stock of where we are in our relations with the [White House], and our internal methods too,” according to the email.


These files imply this wasn’t an isolated incident. According to the documents, the Biden regime demanded to know why Facebook hadn’t censored a video from Tucker Carlson.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry released communications between Joe Biden’s Director of Digital Strategy, Joe Flaherty, pressuring Facebook to censor Tucker Carlson of FOX News.
Joe Flaherty demands to know what “reduction” of the information looks like on Facebook. The White House is very upset that the FOX News host is questioning the dangerous experimental vaccine.


As a result, Facebook prepared talking points for Clegg, indicating they had demoted the said video by 50% to appease the White House’s demands, despite the post not violating any policies.

• while we remove content that explicitly directs people not to get the vaccine, as well as content that contains explicit misrepresentations about vaccines, we reviewed this content in detail and it does not violate those policies.
Moreover: you say reduced and demoted. What does that mean? There’s 40,000 shares on the video. Who is seeing it now? How many? How effective is that?
• The video is receiving 50% demotion for seven days as it is in the queue to be fact checked

The public pressure on Facebook escalated in July 2021 when President Biden accused Facebook and other social media platforms of “killing people” by not censoring alleged “misinformation.


According to Rep. Jordan, on August 2, 2021, under pressure from the Biden administration, Facebook announced it will be making changes to its policies.


Rep. Jordan added that Facebook not only bowed to the White House’s pressure but also changed its policies under the directive of Biden’s Surgeon General, thereby censoring the “disinformation dozen.”

Rep. Jordan said that these and other documents produced for the Committee demonstrate an abuse of power by the Biden Regime, a totalitarian system coercing Facebook into censoring American citizens and hindering open discourse on critical public issues.
This development is related to a lawsuit filed by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and former Missouri Attorney General and current Senator Eric Schmitt, alleging the President of the United States and other senior officials in the Biden Administration violated the First Amendment by directing social-media companies to censor viewpoints that conflict with the government’s messaging on Covid-19 and election integrity concerns relating to the 2020 general election.
Jim Hoft of The Gateway Pundit is a key plaintiff in the lawsuit filed at the State of Missouri, State of Missouri ex rel. Schmitt, et al. v. Joseph R. Biden, Jr., et al., 3:22-cv-01213.
Additional plaintiffs, joining Hoft and the State of Missouri, include the State of Louisiana, epidemiologists Drs. Jayanta Bhattacharya and Martin Kulldorff, Dr. Aaron Kheriaty and Jill Hines.
The collusion of the Biden administration, in coordination with multiple departments within the United States government and big tech, has led to the censorship, silencing and de-platforming of individuals and organizations and it is a direct assault on the First Amendment.

Newly subpoenaed internal documents reveal that Facebook bowed to the Biden White House’s pressure to remove certain content related to Covid-19, including posts asserting that the virus was man-made, according to an exclusive report from The Wall Street Journal.
Nick Clegg, Facebook’s President of Global Affairs, prompted the discussion by inquiring why the company was removing, rather than merely demoting or labeling, claims that the virus was man-made.
“Can someone quickly remind me why we were removing—rather than demoting/labeling—claims that Covid is man-made,” queried Nick Clegg, Facebook’s President of Global Affairs, in an email to colleagues dated July 2021.

In response, a Facebook Vice President in charge of content policy cited pressure from the Biden administration to take more aggressive action. The VP later expressed regret for giving in to the pressure.
“We were under pressure from the administration and others to do more,” responded a Facebook vice president in charge of content policy. “We shouldn’t have done it.”

This conversation occurred three months after Facebook, now owned by Meta Platforms, reversed its stance on banning posts speculating that Covid-19 was man-made or manufactured.
These internal documents were subpoenaed by the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee, investigating the Biden regime’s overreach of governmental power into private sector communication to censor Americans’ speech on social media.
The Biden regime asserts that its discussions were primarily aimed at promoting vaccines and advancing public health goals. Yet, these communications suggest that Facebook’s content moderation decisions may have been more susceptible to political pressure than the company has previously acknowledged.
“We have consistently made it clear that we believe social-media companies have a critical responsibility to take account of the effects of their platforms that they have on the American people, while making independent decisions about the content of their platforms,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Thursday.
Despite these revelations, Facebook maintains its stance that its content moderation decisions remain independent and are not politically influenced, which is a total lie.
In the emails viewed by the Journal, Facebook executives debated whether removing posts could inadvertently bolster vaccine hesitancy, pushing individuals further away from vaccination by suppressing their speech and fostering feelings of marginalization.
Facebook executives re-evaluated their policies on Covid-19 content after President Biden’s comment in July 2021 accusing social media companies of “killing people.” This included potential pushback against the administration’s demands, particularly concerning the removal of satirical or humorous content implying vaccine safety concerns.
“The WH has previously indicated that it thinks humor should be removed if it is premised on the vaccine having side effects, so we expect it would similarly want to see humor about vaccine hesitancy removed,” the vice president wrote.
According to Jordan, Biden’s allegation initially infuriated Facebook employees.
“Thanks for sharing. There are so many untested assumptions in what the administration is saying recently-social media misinfo is increasing, it’s leading to death, it has an impact different from misinfo other places–not to mention how their definition of “misinfo” is completely unclear. As fair as it is to say we need to do better about reporting numbers that mean something, it also just seems like when the vaccination campaign isn’t going as hoped, it’s convenient for them to blame us….” according to the email.

Another employee responded, “I agree. This seems like a political battle that’s not fully grounded in facts, and it’s frustrating. That said, there’s good momentum internally right now to get even deeper on the data so we can push back more directly, so hopefully we’ll have a bit more to say on this soon.”

Through a series of tweets, Jordan unveiled how the White House sought to influence the narratives on Facebook, especially surrounding COVID-19 in 2021.
“Newly subpoenaed internal notes of meetings between Facebook executives and Biden Admin officials reveal more about the lengths the Biden White House wanted to go to control true speech on Facebook,” Rep. Jordan wrote in a series of tweets.

“In 2021, the White House wanted to control what narratives and true content was posted on Facebook surrounding COVID19,” he added.

President Biden previously accused Facebook of “killing people” for allowing certain statements to be published on the site.
Rob Flaherty, President Biden’s then-Director of Digital Strategy, repeatedly put pressure on Facebook to explain its content decisions, stating “We have to explain to President, Ron, people, why there is misinfo on the internet.”

Flaherty was recorded questioning the social media giant’s efforts to limit traffic from specific outlets such as the New York Post.

But that wasn’t enough for the Biden regime. Flaherty wanted Facebook to go a step further and kick conservatives off its site.

The Biden regime’s effort to censor opposing viewpoints only grew, with Flaherty demanding that Facebook “play ball” and work with the White House on censorship. He even referred to this collaboration as his “dream,” according to Rep. Jordan.

The Biden White House also wanted to control what users saw on Facebook, questioning whether the platform could change its algorithm to prioritize posts from sources like the New York Times while reducing visibility for outlets like Daily Wire and Tomi Lahren.
“If you were to change the algorithm so that people were more likely to see NYT, WSJ, any authoritative news source over Daily Wire, Tomi Lahren, polarizing people. You wouldn’t have a mechanism to check the material impact?” according to the email.

“Why did they do that? Because they didn’t think you were smart enough to decide for yourself,” said Jordan.
Courtney Rowe, President Biden’s head of strategic communications and public engagement for the COVID-19 response, was cited as mocking Real America’s ability to determine what’s true and what isn’t.

Under this intense pressure, Facebook seemingly capitulated. One employee tried to explain to the White House that if the company couldn’t “remove” content, it could at least “contain it.” But Flaherty continued to press for more content moderation and control over what he called “bad” content.

Facebook admitted to the White House that it had reduced the content of certain posts, even if those posts didn’t violate the company’s terms and contained true information.

“And we attack virality aspect through feed demotions. We remove content that can lead to imminent physical harm. For content that doesn’t meet that threshold, we instituted borderline demotions. For example, someone sharing negative side effect posts. Similarly, posts questioning whether you should get a vaccine under a mandate, whether it’s government overreach. We demote those. That’s not false information, but it leads to a vaccine negative environment. When it comes to looking at COVID misinformation, it’s a different approach. What we normally do is just remove or leave to fact checkers. Here, we introduced a middle ground.”

“These newly subpoenaed meeting notes continue to show the Biden White House’s desire to direct and control content on Facebook. More evidence of the censorship-industrial complex,” said Jordan.

Newly released internal Facebook documents have highlighted a series of inaccurate testimonies made by FBI Special Agent Elvis Chan about the agency’s role in downplaying the Hunter Biden laptop story.
These findings, shared on Twitter by Congressman Jim Jordan, indicate a clear line of communication between the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF) and Big Tech, with Agent Chan at the nexus.
The documents shed light on a key meeting on October 14, 2020—the same day the New York Post published its story on the Hunter Biden laptop. This meeting saw the involvement of Laura Dehmlow, the current Section Chief of FITF, and Agent Chan.

According to the documents, when Facebook asked whether the laptop story was real, Dehmlow responded with “no comment”, despite the FBI’s possession of the laptop and knowledge of its authenticity.
It can be recalled that Secretary of State Tony Blinken was reportedly called an Intel insider to put together a list of Intel leaders who would sign a report stating the lie that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation.

During the second presidential debate in 2020, Joe Biden told the audience that 50 intelligence leaders signed a letter saying the laptop was “Russian propaganda.”

In July of this year, both Dehmlow and Chan testified before the House Judiciary and Weaponization Committees. Dehmlow’s testimony revealed shocking details about the FBI deliberately withholding information about Hunter Biden’s laptop from social media companies on the day the story broke.
“In her interview, we learned, for the first time, that the FBI met with Twitter on October 14 before meeting with Facebook the same day,” according to Rep. Jordan.
When Twitter asked if the laptop was real, an FBI agent confirmed it. However, another agent—a lawyer—quickly interrupted, stating, “no further comment.”


Dehmlow also revealed that the FBI then engaged in internal deliberations to decide how to respond to the question in future. Subsequently, the FBI adopted the position of “no comment” for any queries regarding the laptop’s authenticity. This included a later meeting on October 14 with Facebook, in which both Chan and Dehmlow participated.


Even though key members of the FBI’s FITF knew the laptop was real, they chose to stick with the “no comment” stance.
This led to the censorship of the New York Post story by Twitter and Facebook, misinforming many Americans who either did not hear about the story or were misled to believe that it was the product of Russian disinformation, only weeks before the 2020 election.
Fast forward to November 2022, Chan, a significant figure in the government’s censorship regime, was deposed. His testimony included misleading statements about the October 14 meeting and falsely denied any other communication between the FBI and Facebook regarding the Hunter Biden laptop story.
However, an internal Facebook document recently obtained by the Committee contradicts Chan’s testimony. This document shows that Chan had a secret “follow up” call with Facebook about the Hunter Biden laptop story on October 15, just one day after the initial Facebook meeting.
Agent Chan’s inconsistencies did not end there. Despite claiming to have “no internal knowledge” of the FBI’s investigation involving Hunter Biden’s laptop, Facebook documents reveal that Chan was “up to speed” on the FBI’s knowledge of the issue and had also asserted the absence of any foreign connection to the leaks.
