That is a nice talking point, but I never said that. I said we must value the truth. Misinformation is spread by sources of traditional media, social media, churches, universities, your local bartender or barista, etc. As a citizen you should be discerning and have an intellectually honest curiosity and skepticism about what is being conveyed to you.
The tweet he posted is an example of misinformation. It is patently, provably false. It is also being used to substantiate a conspiracy theory. Just because the Washington Post or NYT may be equally culpable for spreading falsehoods doesn't mean we should look the other way when someone does it in a way that aligns with what you want to believe.
