this entire subject is just depressing that it exists. i mean its obvious our election process is just kinda cobbled together...with the technology we have at this point, how has there not been a bipartisan effort to actually solve something for once and create a system that would virtually ensure complete accuracy and ensure it will provide transparency. dems denied 2000 and 2016 quite vocally though they like to overlook those threats to democracy. trump questioned 2020. hillary already questioning 2024. seems like the kinda thing a competent, functional govt would find common interest to work together on. the states should all be modernizing how they track voting - its really not that hard in 2022. at least one of them should take the lead here.
and anyone who says there were no oddities with the 2020 election is burying their head in the sand. does that mean i'm saying the election was stolen? no, idiot who will invariably declare it so anyway. there have been legal rulings ending drop-box voting for one - and this is not a subject i follow closely nor particularly have any interest in rehashing - but there absolutely were curiosities regardless of any accusation of fraud being assigned. that doesn't mean it was stolen, as again that is not my position. but clearly the reason behind that ruling involves election integrity. there's a reason amazon was so against drop boxes in their union vote. why take a problem solving approach though? would have one less thing to rally the donors with any time they lose an election
