Just the fact that he unnerves so many on the GOP side of the isle. Just don't feel comfortable with him, no disrespect. Less of a worry than Trump, who scares the hell out of me. Sure wouldn't want to get on his bad side if he wins(Trump).
I deal with a lot of kids, as I am a foster parent. I think the problem with kids today, ALL Kids, is so many of them feel they are entitled to everything. I am not talking about the poor kids, ALL kids. So many feel that if they don't have the newest game system, the newest Nikes, latest designer clothes, newest I phone, electronics, etc., than they are deprived. I am not saying there are not good kids out there, cause there are. It is just such a different world than 30-40 years ago.
I'm a republican because I believe in the Free market, limited government, gun rights, and a limited number of social causes, including being pro life. Gay marriage, deportation, and Obama Care do not bother me much at all. I would however be very upset about pursuit of a single payer system. If old folks who aren't interested in our country solving problems and want the same country we had in 88 want to elect trump or Cruz, as I said... I'm content to let the tent burn down and await reformation of the two party system.
Ave yearly defense budget 2002-09 = 639.9 billion. Ave yearly defense budget 2010 -15 = 663.9 billion. Where is the cut part? It's kind of like Cruz's current S.C. TV ad where Obama has cut Ft. Jackson by 1/2. Actual: 180 civilian employees cut.. No military personnel.
Can't ever support Donald Trump. He only promises things will be great under him. Never once has he explained how he is going to improve the quality of American lives. Just says if he is elected, America will win again. We will beat the Japanese. I didn't know we were fighting the Japanese. Mexico will build a wall and pay for it. America will be better than at any time in its history.
Oh, and during his victory speech in NH, he quoted some source as saying unemployment is 42 percent. Yeah, sure Donald. Whatever.
Americans say they want the truth from their politicians. No they don't. If they wanted the truth, the candidates would tell them that entitlement reform means everyone is going to get less from government retirement and medical programs than they thought they would. The truth would mean that if we are to increase our defense spending, we will need to raise taxes. The truth would mean that if we are going to make major repairs to our roads and bridges, the gas tax will need to be raised.
I don't agree with (m)any of Bernie Sanders' goals but at least he is honest in saying that if he had his way, taxes would go up for everyone.
But Americans don't want the truth. Donald Trump knows that they want platitudes. And he gives the voters that in spades. And the people eat it up. And they tell him they love him because he tells it like it is. He only tells it like his supporters WISHES it were. But they are too naive to recognize that.

the average american lacks the scientific and mathematic literacy to know what the truth is... unless it is in the Bible, then it is obviously true.

I voted for Trump for a lot of reasons. Those reasons still stand. The new reason is that I support law and order and that I don't want my neighborhood turned into a burnt out wasetland like the city neighborhoods governed by the Democrats.

I guess I don't see Trump as a conservative either, so I still probably wouldn't vote for him. I also think he would have no idea how to govern a country and would leave the institution of the presidency in tatters. That's if he was elected. Even if he wasn't elected, he might shatter the Republican Party as a viable way of organizing people on the right. I mean, I'd personally be embarrassed to say that I voted for or supported his campaign in any way. So I'd almost rather a known commodity like Hillary be elected than Trump.
On the other hand, I think a pretty viable third party candidate (who would be the candidate of most people who normally vote Republican) would appear if it looked like Trump was getting the nomination. I'd probably vote for that person, even if it was Bloomberg.
All that said, Trump won't be getting the nomination.

I think most people on here like Trump. SC is a red state and by and large, this is a red board. Those of us who don't like him (like me) really really don't like him. And we make a lot of noise. Again, I don't think that everything Trump does is bad... far from it. BUT I do believe that he is fundamentally a very bad person and is WRONG for our country.
I'm starting to think a functioning republican government within the traditions of western democracies simply cannot exist with our current platforms to broadly disseminate misinformation. It would seem that humans simply lack the ability to have access to so much noise and discern what to believe in and what not to. Confirmation bias prevails and distorts reality to the point where literally anything is believed rather to changing your prior convictions. Scary times. The quoted post is obviously a cartoonishly absurd example, but the same principals apply to more mainstream, widely held beliefs.
I think it was Thomas Jefferson that said that a Constitutional Republic like ours, which is based on SELF GOVERNMENT, can only function in a moral Christian society.
As a country, we have lost our moral compass by not going to church; people do NOT want to be responsible for themselves and their own actions (free healthcare! Free college education! I commit crimes because of racism!); and we have a media (with a few exceptions) who no longer could care less about reporting news; they are merely political activists with an agenda.
To the Left, government is their god. Obtaining power is their goal which is justifiable by any actions.
Call the President a traitor and conspirator based on ZERO substantiated evidence? No problem.
Have a president you support give billions of dollars in cash to enemies who are sworn to kill us? No problem.
When everything you've reported for YEARS turns out to be total fabrication, barely acknowledge it and keep going.

But how do you know those things you think are true are actually true? You admit that you believe media outlets, with a few exceptions, don't report the news but instead are political activists, which I assume means you think they are reporting untrue things. Which outlets do you believe are the exception to this? How did you figure that out? It would require you to determine the objective truth of things (and determine them independent of the media, since they are the variable being tested) and compare the objective truth to each media outset and see which ones reports the truth and which ones don't.
My guess is that you did not do that (if it is even possible). Instead, my guess is that the media outlets reporting things in conformance with your previously held convictions are the few media outlets you have decided should be believed, due to confirmation bias. No offense intended to you; essentially everyone does this. But it highlights the point of my post: when numerous widely consumed media outlets report things in direct convention of one another (not to mention the millions of sources on social media) and, in many cases, offer opinions that the opposing point of view is hostile to you and your way of life, it's going to result in a dysfunctional republic. In my opinion, this is the reason why you believe the things you wrote in your post. And it's the reason why I don't think republication governments can flourish with the current capabilities for essentially everyone to disseminate information to everyone else. Hope I'm wrong, but it looks to me that our communication technologies have outpaced the human ability to objectively perceive the world around us.
