That’s not at all what I’m saying. I’m saying I understand someone talking with a teacher about this if they’re afraid of what their parents may do. Not all teachers are trying to indoctrinate their students to whatever it is you’re afraid of. Some of them actually care about their students and have earned enough trust from their students that they’d feel comfortable talking to their teachers about something so personal.
I hear ya. First of all, this was my gift to you all from the mainboard. Second, agree on bullying being likely a major contributor to the causation.
I do think it’s fair to ask why this is more common now. I think there’s a nature vs nurture question to be answered. And because for whatever reason it’s more common, there are more kids bullied.
And because we’ve decided to take absurd positions like grown ass boys beating up on girls in sports because they identify differently, people take out their feelings generated by this absurdity on innocent kids going through some stuff.
This was 5th graders, the teacher had zero reason to bring up gender matters with the students. The teacher has no busy discussing this, how about concentrating on teaching math, history and English.
