Hold up on the diatribe dude because I made it clear that I wasn't advocating for it, I was just answering your question. FTR, there are many states besides California, including red state Utah, who also cover immigrants regardless of status:

People care cost taxpayers one way or another. Whether we are paying for increased border patrols, military mobilization, wall building, detention camps, flights "home" or bandaging knees, birthing babies, providing childcare, and educating minors, it all costs money. People are expensive. Living is expensive and if left to insurers and undertakers dying is expensive, too. Outrage can be fun until you realize the alternative is not much better, then it becomes exhausting.
