Judge that ordered deportations of illegals stopped…

How did we get that point? How did it get so out of hand that the federal government is having to deploy its massive resources to deporting people that we know are here illegally and have been for sometime? It’s the classic democrat move. Create a problem, then complain about the solution. Just don’t decide 20-30 million people deserve amnesty and SS benefits and healthcare with zero vetting and this doesn’t happen right? There’s two sides to this.
lol at blaming immigration solely at the feet of democrats. Dems proposed a bill that would increase funding for more immigration lawyers, more money for ICE, and more support for the legal immigration efforts to help expedite the backlog so people could apply and get feedback faster than a decade. Republicans balked bc they didn’t want to give dems a win and were salty there was no wall funding (stupid as **** to begin with.)

Undocumented immigrants don’t get SS benefits or healthcare, beyond life saving care.

The fact is neither side wants to “fix” it because it’s a good tool to drive people out to vote.

I believe this same law was used during WW2 to deport Japanese. Since this law was written 200 years ago do we also void the US constitution .
It was used during ww2 as an excuse to intern and deport American citizens of Japanese descent. It’s also viewed as one of the most heinous acts (Japanese internment and deportation) in our country’s history all because of paranoid fear of foreigners.

Before taking these actions, maybe Trump should find out what the law says he can or cannot do and follow that. Or ask congress to change/make law. And follow the appeals process to the end as prescribed by law. But that wouldn't be suitable to his agenda......

What about the people?

Attorneys general from 24 states file an amicus brief in support of Trump’s proclamation, saying their states are “directly impacted” by foreign gangs such as Tren de Aragua.

The brief complains that “a lone district judge certified a class of noncitizens in custody affected by the order and issued a nationwide temporary restraining order barring the Administration from immediately removing foreign terrorists, regardless of the threat they present to our citizens.”

One party opened the door. One party is sending them home. At this particular moment there’s one party at fault. I’m sorry you don’t see it that way. If they don’t let 30 million people in completely unvetted and provide them with CBP1 app and phones and money and all the other stuff this ain’t happening. This was an importation of what was hoped to be voters in the coming elections. It’s ridiculous, look at the states now requiring no ID to vote. They don’t do that in Vietnam. Why is it so important that illegals that are known gang members are given preferential treatment over citizens??

What's your point? What does the law say?

You're clearly lost in the sauce of your media consumption. It is a gigantic waste of time trying to have a discussion with you since you're not operating in reality.

What does it say about crossing the border illegally?

Crossing the US border illegally can lead to both criminal and civil penalties, including fines, imprisonment (up to 2 years for a first offense, potentially longer for subsequent offenses or if previously deported), and deportation.

Ok. Still, so? We've had the same amount, give or take a million, of ebb and flow across the southern border for over 30 years or more. And for hundreds of years, technically. Both legally and not. It's been good for America and our economy. And don't respond with any made up numbers from the gop propaganda machine.

This whole immigration thing has always been about ethnicity and giving you the "others" to hate on, and be occupied by, while the constitution is burned to the ground so we can worship a dictator. Am I being a little over the top? Yeah probably, but facts are facts.

Straight to calling people racist. Unreal. Pro worker, anti war, moderate socially is now equivalent to racism nazi worship. 27%.

The slippery slope was the invocation of the wartime Alien Enemies Act of 1798 as the basis for their deportation to a foreign slave labor camp. They used a made-up interpretation of the law to justify not allowing due process to play out and illegally sending them to El Salvador, without vetting.
Was the law to not enter the country illegal made up too?
