That's a very specific example with no nuance that I have no time for- not being combative, but these conversations have happened between conservatives and progressives for the past decade (and longer, obviously). If you have any understanding of the conversation about race, being "woke," Critical Race Theory, white privilege, or systemic racism from the past decade or so, this conversation isn't worth having, as both of our minds are probably made up at this point.
I strongly believe the effects of slavery and Jim Crow have set people of color back TREMENDOUSLY in this country, and still does today. That's the conversation about equity. And of course, the government played into this as THE problem AND as a perceived "solution."
But tbh what's the point of having this conversation again? Its been rehashed ad nauseam.
