Sorta on/off topic....
I was talking to a guy the other day and politics came up. We had a cordial discussion, and it was nice to be able to talk to someone with different views and actually talk.
Found it interesting the way he described himself. He said "I can't stand the democratic party and the agenda they're pushing, but I'm not a church going person so I can't relate to republicans..." He continued and it was great.
But it stood out to me that his explanation for not being a republican was that he didn't go to church. I didn't ask then, because I thought about it later, but do Democrats not like church or religion?
That was interesting to me. The perception to him was that he needed to go to church or at the least, be religious in order to "relate" to republicans.
That's kind of wild to me.
Im far from living a non-secular life, but I've not once ever thought about picking a party because of religion or fear of it.
Do people really do this? Is one party selling Church and the other party anti church?
