ESPN pays out tons of money for College Athletics. The sports where the players are unpaid and yet ESPN makes a killing off of them. ESPN also pays out tons of money to broadcast the Little League World Series. Unpaid kids playing and the parents having to foot the travel bills. Personally I am offended by this obvious display of ESPN supporting the sports of the unpaid players to line their own pockets.

I 100% believe you. But the orange-tinted glasses are definitely being worn by some posters ITT. I fall in the camp doesn't hold a grudge on KB for the way he handled leaving the program as a 20-something-yr-old. It was mistake for sure, but everyone is full of mistakes when we're young, so I believe in extending a little grace.
I personally think Maria Taylor is good at her job, but I say that completely separate to how much money she is making, and I think you're absolutely right that ESPN is overpaying their employees.
im game with 2.3 million...i can believe that around that number is appropriate if she continues to host countdown and work the sidelines...she is great at what she does

It’s not “orange tinted glasses” for someone to have a negative opinion of KB and/or Maria Taylor.
It’s not because KB left the team, it was because of the comments he made afterwards and his buddy Taylor proceeded to run with that narrative on subsequent broadcasts.
Personally I couldn’t care less because it seems to have worked out for all parties in the end. But don’t fault certain people who aren’t jumping at the opportunity to feel some kind of sympathy for Maria Taylor for “only” making $2M / yr to talk about sports

The "old" meant news in reference to her slamming the coaching staff for starting TL over KB which is fact, we know she was dead wrong and should have kept her mouth shut. She tried yet failed to make it a bad look for the program. Exactly what her agenda was I don't know and do not care. She insinuated KB was the senior QB who waited his turn and was unfairly benched for TL but she never got those wings to fly because anyone with common sense knew who the better QB was.

I find it odd that Maria supported KB because he was the Sr and waited his turn but she is ok being fairly new to the ESPN gig and jumping people that have tenure on her. The best should be at the top. Period.
