I rarely even check this board unless something that started in the West Zone that I posted in gets moved here but I was curious what some of these loons would say to dismiss or defend it.
I understand there's an unwillingness to be objective but I don't see how anyone could see that from Elon, especially considering he then turned and did the same, and think nothing of it. I do get that he's a big part of the (far) right movement, played a large role in getting Trump elected, and will be part of the government now, so calling out one of your own for that justifies what many on the right feel is unjust criticism of that sides views towards equality (and worse).
IMO, the reality is that if you were in a focus group prior to Monday, for example, and were shown clips of people doing various hand gestures then were asked to associate them with the first thing that comes to your mind, I find it hard to believe the vast majority of people wouldn't see that from some other person and not equate it to Sieg Heil...
I also know most on that side won't admit it because of the implications.

lol, no one is saying he quoted Mein Kampf. They're saying he did the salute. Which he unequivocally did. Doesn't mean he meant to which I've said. If I point at a cloud with my middle finger, palm facing towards me with someone in front of me, I will have shown them the bird. If I see the disgust on their face, I would quickly say "oh sorry, was just pointing at the cloud, truly" knowing that I didn't intentionally do anything wrong, but that it clearly came off that way.
It's what a normal person does when they've been perceived incorrectly regardless of their intentions. That this is some big debate is wild to me.
