If you and I can differentiate between Russian meddling and collusion why can't Trump? Is he stupid? My theory is that he's a mildly intelligent person who's focused his skills on supporting his narcissism his whole life. At the end of the day Trump was never a builder, he's only ever been a PR guy, and the PR he runs is only on his own brand. When you look through that lens his actions make a lot of sense.
His support staff understands the threat that Russia and Putin pose to the West. Trump simply doesn't, and he loves Putin, talks about how strong and great a guy he is. Trump's staff does things to fight the Russians and then Trump opens his mouth and says the dumbest things ever. Because he's fvcking dumb and wants Putins approval for some reason.
Does this do any real damage as long as the intelligence agencies and the military are still acting like grown ups while a six foot fat baby poops on the world stage? I'd say actually it does. It sows mistrust in American excellence and leadership going forward. If we would elect someone who is so obviously ignorant, stupid and pig headed then we might be going the way of Rome. He floats ideas about pulling out of NATO and his Tariff actions are all things his handlers constantly have to walk back. After they walk it back, he'll go back out and say the same thing again. Because he actually believes what he says, no matter how many handlers 'clarify' it.
I don't doubt that Trump and company would have come to a meeting with the intent on getting intel on the Clinton campaign. I wouldn't doubt any campaign doing that. It would shock me if they didn't. I don't really care about that. I care more about the red herrings Trump tweets everyday. I care that such a fool and a charlatan could gain such a cult following where so many on lookers don't see that he wears no clothes. If he came out tomorrow and said that Crimea was the Russians now and maybe the Ukrainians should think about rejoining Russia, it wouldn't surprise me. What would disappoint me, is how many of his followers wouldn't even blink an eye. They'd just lol about librul tears.
I understand that Trump supporters feel that they are the ones paying for everything. They feel that way, but its not actually true, but they sure feel that way. However, maybe they should act more responsibly with their money. Stop giving it to the guy who bank rupted a sure thing in the Jersey casinos.
