OT and destined for the RT....

I already said dont bring me some fox news bullshit. Now if his accomplishments are so vast you should be able to find a good source to provide them.

Here's a question for you. Why don't you find a source; of your liking, that will inform you as to what happened yesterday to Andrew McCabe, CNN's latest hire.

I wouldn't say I have a disdain for Trump. His message could be brought to the MSM by anyone. What troubles me is that so much of the country agrees with him on things that are either simply incorrect or are the expected characteristics of a terrible person. The irony is that the Republican party used to be known as the "Christian, moral majority" party, and Trump has exposed it for exactly what it is, the complete opposite.

"What troubles me is that so much of the country agrees with him on things that are either simply incorrect or are the expected characteristics of a terrible person"

If I said this you would demand examples, so here I am, demanding examples.

Not sure about all of that. Hard to imagine anyone voting for trump the first time switching sides. And then he’s probably added to his supporters with some accomplishments and the economy.

And it will be hard for the center-left folks to get jazzed up if one of the socialists is the nominee. And nobody is excited about Biden.

I disagree. I know people (in the south, west and north) who voted for him and think he is a complete ass clown now. Not saying that is a valid sample size, but neither is Trump's internal poll saying that he has 96% approval from republicans. (I received that poll, the question said "Trump is doing a great job: strongly agree, agree, other" were the choices)

It is likely going to be a Biden-Warren or Biden-Harris ticket, and either one is going to beat Trump. It really comes down to a few swing states, and Biden is polling exceptionally well in those states.

Trump lost the popular vote last time, and that was with very low voter turnout in the 18-29 age group. That group came out strong for democrats in 2018. They will come out strong in 2020, and down goes trump.

One question for you... what are your thoughts on Warren's wealth tax?

But what is any democrats platform? Raise taxes? Not build the wall? Continue to let China Bend the United States over? Let Illegals have more than citizens? Serious question.

What I'm learning itt:
Libs don't believe: the employment numbers
: The wage numbers
: The manufacturing numbers
: Obama increased welfare rolls by millions.
: That the economy is by far the most important issue in the upcoming election.

Libs do believe: Obama had a good economy
: Obamacare was successful and a good thing.
: That climate change and social justice issues are big issues in the coming election.
: Fake news polls.

Bottom Line? Libs believe fake news and haven't learned a thing in the last 2.5 years; while watching and listening to provable lies.

Both sides shovel bullshit. I will say that the MSM pushing this Russia nonsense for the past 2.5 years is the worst it's ever been in my lifetime.

At this point in the MSM, journalist have turned into activist, so it makes it even harder to find the actual truth when sifting through their bullshit.

I just hate when folks act like their side doesn't peddle misinformation and half truths to support their stance on a particular issue.

Both sides of the aisle are guilty of lies and manipulation.

When Trump suggests that all Mexican immigrants are drug dealers, murderers, or rapists. False.

Trump mocks disabled in rally. Supporters cheer in support.

Trump cheats on wife with pornstar and pays hush money. "Christian" supporters all of a sudden don't care.

Trump avoids taxes. Party that preaches personal responsibility and hates "moochers" calls it good business.

Trump refers to other countries as "shitholes". Supposed Christians cheer in support and laugh at the less fortunate.

Trump separates children from families for weeks to months at a time. The "family values" party cheers in support and mocks children in cages.

Trump revokes security clearance from a former CIA director and then threatens to do the same for anyone who criticizes him. The supposed "Anti-big government and freedom-loving" party cheers in support. (Funny how the anti-big government party all of a sudden loves a dictator)

Trump's attorney pleads guilty to committing federal crimes at the direction of the president. The "listen to cops and follow the law" crowd doesn't care.

Trump revokes press pass from an accredited and respected reporter due to negative reporting of him. The "I want my free speech protected so I can say whatever I want crowd" cheers in support.

Trump's daughter conducts government business with an unsecured personal account. The "lock Clinton up for her emails" crowd doesn't care.

Trump's border patrol throwing tear gas at women and children seeking asylum. The "goodhearted christian" crowd doesn't care and I assume supported this.

I think the least surprising thing about the Trump presidency is that he has exposed the Republican party as nothing but hypocrites. The question becomes, can you handle the truth?

I think a wealth tax is an awfully dangerous slippery slope. Confiscating people’s property (money)? Yikes.

I do agree with another tax tier for super high income. Although I think the other tiers are too high and people like me pay too much.

I don't like Trump personally. If the survey said, do you like Trump, I would say no. If the survey said would you vote for Trump in 2020. Most likely.

Depends on how the survey is worded.

Trump was and is the disruptor. What he has done is keep his promises. He has enacted or mightily attempted to enact what he campaigned to do. Best President in my lifetime with potential to be maybe the best ever. He is an outsider attempting to destroy the old guard thats been running this nation for a long time and thats why we see the most concerted attack on him ever seen. Just keep thinking he will not/cannot win in 2020.

1) Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it
2) Establish a commission on radical Islam & ban Muslims from entering the country
3) Enact term limits
4) Bring back waterboarding
5) Allow individuals to deduct healthcare premiums from taxes
6) Pretty much everything Medicade related
7) Sue his accusers of sexual misconduct
8) Release tax returns after auditing
9) Child care tax credits
10) Cut number of tax brackets and do away with alternative minimum tax
11) Eliminate carried interest loophole
12) BALANCE THE BUDGET & eliminate national debt
13) Stop ATT Time Warner merger
14) “Obamacare”
15) Take funding away from planned parenthood
16) Repeal Common Core
17) Build a 350 ship Navy
18) Bring back the coal industry

I’m not arguing these things are right or wrong but it’s pretty easy to see he hasn’t kept his promises.

He touted his ability as a negotiator but has failed on a massive scale across the entire planet as far as trade deals go.

He’s even waging war on weather scientists and Fox News now. I can’t think of one ally (domestic or international) that he has actually built a stronger relationship with than before.

What qualifies him as “the best president ever” and what makes you so confident he will win?

Edit: @jimbob1019 @bam864 @orangelvis @Trading Tiger @TigerGrowls any of you care to give your input?

Respect for taking the time and doing this but at least half of these have been proven wrong or at the very least have been taken out of context. And in advance no, I will not take my time to respond to each one of these explaining why. CBA

On a factual basis Trump has done more in the first three years than most presidents have done in their entire tenure whether it be nominating judges, making trade deals, exposing extremely biased and left-wing media outlets, bringing worldly corruption into the light. Trump has kept 99% of his campaign promises and accomplished even more than he promised. Let's keep this in mind that he won in 2016 with 0 political experience, now he has accomplishments to back that up in 2020 and you think he is going to lose? LMAO. And to make things even more comical is that Joe Biden is seriously considered the front-runner. I feel that Trump wipes the floor with Biden during a debate, easily.. On a factual basis and with how witty Trump is.

How did you get that 99% and let’s talk about those successful trade deals?

Trump is not going to win in 2020. We took a chance because America was tired of the system that was in place..I applaud Trump for bringing that to the forefront. However, not much he has done has helped or changed America for the better. He was helped by a low voter turnout amongst democrats in 2016 because not many people thought he would win. That won’t happen this time.

I don’t know if Biden will either. Booker pointed out that no democrat leading this far out has won in recent history (not sure how true it is but it seems to be the case most of the time for both parties). I think 4-5 of those candidates will have a really good chance of beating Trump. Biden would smoke him today.
Actually, Trump will win in a landslide in 2020...

This is mostly fake news or taken out of context...

But here’s the thing...most of us realize Trump is no saint. We know this. However, most of us vote based on the candidates policies...not their personal life...

I mean, Obama seemed like a pretty cool guy...I’d have a beer with him. But his policies were shit...plus he never really did anything in office.

Keeps his promises?

Remind me again, who is going to pay for the wall? Oh yeah, we know now: America's military and its families.
How is that health care plan that will be far cheaper and better than Obamacare coming along? He doesn't even have a policy. (He couldn't spell "policy.")
How is the promise that only the finest people will be in the Trump administration? He will soon be on his 4th National Security Advisor in 3 years. He has had 3 Homeland Security Secretaries. 3 Chiefs of Staff. His press secretary doesn't even pretend to hold briefings.

I am old enough to remember when Trump said he could balance the budget. How is that going? We have the highest deficit in the country's history and it is only getting higher.

He can't (and you can't either) blame Congress. He had working majorities in the House and Senate for 2 years and failed to enact anything but a tax cut that clearly has not stimulated the economy or Trump wouldn't be pleading for interest rate cuts by the Fed. If the economy is so great, why cut rates?

He's a clown. And a dangerous one at that.

This is all great banter and part of what makes this a great country. Other places might kill you and your family for even posting some of these comments. If you are crazy left or crazy right, or middle left or middle right, that is perfectly ok. The constitution actually accounts for this and even needs it.

Watch this talk to get a quick refresher and see this is nothing new (the founding fathers even hated each other). We are going to be ok no matter who gets elected.

Noah Feldman: Hamilton vs. Madison and the birth of American partisanship

Ultimately, let’s not forget 2 things:

1. No matter who gets elected, Clemson football will continue to dominate.

2. Once he hangs up his whistle, we can all agree that we should work together to get Dabo into the oval office.

I actually went to a Jay Inslee speech in Chicago that my friend invited me to. It was pretty boring, and of course it was different hearing a politician dismiss a lot of things I cared about. He did say that there were opportunities to reach across the aisle, which I appreciated. Then he dropped out a week later.

Anyway, Biden seems like one of the better options among the Democratic candidates. He's less of a demagogue on many issues, but that makes him unacceptable to many Democrats who would prefer someone more progressive. Unfortunately, the other relatively moderate candidates don't seem to stand a chance.

While I think Trump is an awful person who never should've been anywhere near elected office, a whole lot of this is tendentious. When you post something like this that relies on partisan interpretations of what's happened- or is happening- than the Trump-defensive types are just going to ignore you.

I find it ironic with the takes on the Democratic candidates when the POTUS is the biggest joke of any politician I have ever seen. Please let me know when any other politician dead or alive actually mentioned airports and airplanes being around during the revolutionary war like Trump did during his Independence Day Speech. Seriously ... end of thread!!!

IMO, that is just symptomatic of who Trump is. He is basically lazy. He's never had to work a day in his life and he's not about to start now. He doesn't like to read briefings purely from a work standpoint. He likes them even less when they point out facts that don't agree with his predetermined opinion. He likes to shoot from the hip and doesn't like to be wrong. He won't change his opinion, he wants the facts to change to match his view.

I don't think he's lazy, I just think he's a product of the kind of political cynicism that got him elected, and which inculcates the belief that politics is all about rhetoric and drama, while politicians are all just talking heads. So the stuff he'll work on isn't the stuff that would keep him well-informed... and it also isn't what got him elected.
