Politics turning into a team bloodsport is disgusting and wrong.
It should be about what is for the common good but instead it has turned into... whatever this is. And it's always everybody else's fault that it's happening.
Look in the mirror. Do something about it. Quit demonizing every single person that has an opposing political view. Let's get back to where politics doesn't cause people to shame people out of restaurants or cause people to call sexual assault victims lying bitches or cause whole parts of families to stop talking. It's really, really stupid and harmful.
And "I'll stop when they stop" is not an answer.

the process has been handled poorly by both sides. The R's are expecting to lose big in the midterms, so they are rushing to get this done, while the D's are trying to delay past then. Obstruction on both sides.
When Elena Kagan was nominated by Obama, they released all of her records for her time in the white house. The R's released none of Kavenaughs from his time in the Bush white house. There are clearly things they are trying to keep out of the public record.

I think it’s imperative to realize there is a difference between liberals and progressives.

I think each side forgets the polarization because they feel the indignation should be seen by all when it is only seen by their 1/3 of the country.
