Guess who was in charge when the egg shortage started? Started 4 years ago?

Joe Biden and the Democrats

Now it will take years to fix as for you non farming geniuses it takes 6 to 8 months to get a chicken laying from the fertilized egg to the full-grown laying chicken

Like other policies it will take Trump a time to fix the MESS Biden and the Democrats have embedded in our society

Is that you Donald? Didn't I hear how all these prices were going to go down when Trump was President? I didn't hear anything about it taking a long time once Trump was actually in office either. And now it's Biden's fault. Par for the course.

Remember how he was going to stop the Ukraine war even before he was in office?

Even his followers didn't believe that prices were going to go down immediately or that he was going to stop the war before he got in office. They just love the lies.

I just paid 7.99 for a dozen eggs. I'm not rich like all you other folks on here, but I can somehow still afford eggs.

Not sure why this is even a thing, except to blame someone else. Water is wet, the sun rises in the east and it's NEVER EVER Donald Trump's fault.

And I'm certainly not a farming genius like you are, but hens usually lay their 1st egg at about 18 weeks (4.5 months) and ramp up from there. Just so you know. I'm sure it's still Biden's fault.

Edit: To be fair the incubation period for an egg is about 21 days... Three weeks, so 5 months and change

Doesn’t matter. Trump is in charge and said he would fix it. So, now it’s his problem because he is in charge.

Like most things Trump says…no follow through…because he doesn’t care about you or me. He cares about himself and people cheering him on for all the good he’s doing.

Republicans will cut Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security to pay for tax plan that will cost the U.S. more money over his presidency. Some of your and my family and friends rely on those programs to survive.

So, I can’t wait to see him spin this.

Dear @DrTigerGoob

If you are a doctor let me share one eternal truth

IT TAKES 9 MONTHS FOR ONE WOMAN TO HAVE A BABY

YOU CANNOT HAVE NINE WOMEN PREGNANT AND HAVE A BABY IN ONE MONTH

Now that I have enlightened you the facts are Trump came into office Jan 20th

The process to get the Sec of Agriculture in place took about another two weeks

The former ADMINISTRATION SLAUGHTERED HUNDREDS OF MILLION OF LAYING AGE CHICKENS INSTEAD OF DOING INNOCULATIONS

So, the present administration comes into office with a deficit of like 200,000 million chickens of laying age

Let me explain it takes a chicken to lay an egg and then it is fertilized by artificial methods to assure consistency

Next, they are incubated, hatched and spend weeks in the nursery at like 93 degrees to get to a size they can survive

Once to that size they get to a pen and are feed for about 6 months before they start laying

SO, IT IS A PROCESS OF ABOUT 6 MONTHS

CHECK BACK AROUND SEPTEMBER TO SEE HOW THE EGG SHORTAGE IS GOING BECAUSE ONLY GOD CAN FIX IT AS FAST AS YOU EXPECT IT TO BE FIXED

I INCLUDED A SIMPLETON'S EXPLANANTION OF THE PROCESS

My father and mother taught me to educate myself before I spoke on any subject

Giving you a starter site. Take a few hours and learn about raising food and farming

I raise and have egg laying chickens as a hobby in my retirement so I don't need eggs

give away dozens each week for kicks to neighbors

BTW if the domestic egg production is solved before the Fall credit God 's intervention just like I credit God for saving Donald Trump from the bullet encouraged from the masses such as you of hate and fear mongering

Just like the Blues Brothers Trump is on a mission from God

He's on a mission from God? Jesus.

Have you actually read the Bible? There is nothing about how Donald Trump treats anyone that is how God wants us to act. Nothing.

Between ending USAID, the tariff wars and the grants freeze, farmers are suffering.

Farmers put plans, investments on hold under Trump USDA spending freeze

  • USDA grant freeze impacts farmers' financial stability
  • Farmers face bankruptcy, economic uncertainty due to freeze
  • Trump administration's freeze affects USDA conservation, food programs
"Farmers and food organizations across the country are cutting staff, halting investments and missing key funding amid a USDA freeze on a broad swath of grants, more than two dozen farmers and agricultural support groups in seven states told Reuters.

All this comes as Trump has imposed new tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico and China, sparking trade wars with the biggest buyers of U.S. farm products."

@PalmettoTiger1 Which egg do you prefer white or brown and why ?

Strange you ask that

I like brown snd only because I grew up with Rhode Island Reds

Have about a dozen fun hens of that ilk now but before Had something from Tractor Supply called Golden something

The RIR lay a smaller brown egg than the Golden

One issue I have with the brown is we feed high omega three feed from Purina which when trying to boil eggs makes them difficult to make a clean peel

White eggs when held several weeks when boiled peel easier and cleaner for deviled eggs

So to make deviled eggs we have to buy whites

Planning to get a few hens with the colored eggs for giggles

When I was a kit we had a medium sized farm and a good number of layers and broilers

I really don’t have an answer on the color of eggs other than I grew up with brown

The breed and feed determine the nutrition content of each egg you eat

Was Trump aware of how long it takes for a baby to be born when he repeatedly made those promises?

Brown eggs are DEI
@Clemson Goat @dpic73

To cover the egg color

White chickens lay white eggs Brown chickens lay brown eggs

There is essentially no difference in nutritional value between white and brown when fed the same feed

So I guess dpic73 has found that God has his jokes where he shows us despite the color of the shell the inside is all the same

Now apply that to the human aspect

DEI is not a factor for chickens

They lay the eggs

Then personal preference picks the color

I like the brown

@yoshi121374 Just so you know that phrase on a Mission From God was from the movie Blues Brothers where John Belushi said that

It was more a joke related to solving the egg issue

To be clear all of every living soul on earth is on a Mission from God

Some of us just lose ourselves and waver on our journey

And as to reading the Bible NOT AS MUCH AS I SHOULD

And do I follow the teachings

As much as possible

Join me in trying to follow the teachings of Jesus

the operative word is try

So you would say Donald Trump, the man who claims that he is a Christian, but also claims he never asked Jesus for forgiveness because he didn't need to, is someone who would be on a mission from God?

I would say he appears to be on a mission... I'm pretty sure it's not the one to The Christian God would want though.

The shortage is a result of Biden policies over the last 4 years

Trump’s Ag Sec now has to respond to a problem that will take at least a year if not two to fix

@hopefultiger13

You actually covered a portion of the problem in your post

Remember Trump has been in office about 50 days now with the first 100 days or so setting up the administration staff

Now you are aware of the time needed to build back laying stocks for eggs versus broiler stocks for meat

There is a huge lag in getting this fixed and only Jesus could solve this problem

And Trump ain’t Jesus despite what many TDS anti Trumper’s scream

Trump like any politician is being accused by you of overpromising and underdelivering

That’s what all politicians are accused of

When people expect miracles instead of sane common sense noses to the grind hard work

The problem will be solved but not on your schedule, but on a rational reasonable doable schedule

Just so we can practice fairness regarding politicians and the things they say they say they are going to do

Did Biden do everything that he made during his election effort from 2020 to 2024

You might want to consider anger therapy

I'm not angry at all, I'm actually laughing at you guys who believe anything Trump says.

All politicians stretch the truth and exagerate. Donald Trump bold face, ridiculously lies, and then continues to claim he was right, then you guys whataboutism it to death to try and make it not so bad of a lie.

To answer your question YES he is doing the things I believe he needs to do to lower PRICES back to where they were BEFORE COVID.

COVID was a huge disruption. Time is a part of the equation.

His entire campaign was based on the border, lowering costs by supply side economics, ending 2 wars, ending DEI, stopping antisemitic behavior, reforming government through business practices along with more. I mention these and yes I want to see these accomplished.

And if NOT IN TWO YEARS giving him a reasonable time to accomplish these goals I will be agreeing with you unless the world changes and we have more disruptions that could not be foreseen.

But I expect the above and will NOT BE ON HERE. But with direct contact to the many people in government I know to express my displeasure at failing to do what he said. NOT that it matters to most elected folks.

I personally don't think "ironic" fits in the conversation, but have at it if you feel good using it.
You: Have you considered anger therapy?

Also you: REGULARLY CAPITALIZES ENTIRE SENTENCES AND ENTIRE POSTS

I don't doubt that for many of those you aren't angry, just like Yoshi's post didn't read angry at all.

Trump lied and knew he was lying and he was just calling you on it lol

OK let me clarify the CAPS.

One issue I see on here is many times people already have a preconceived bias and speedread over a post.

I do that too at times. The CAPS are my attempt to highlight a practical fact in my posting.

With these eggs situation, it is impossible for Trump to really make an impact for 6-9 months in a big way.

Progress after a mess takes time to recover. The Ag Sec is taking steps to fix it over the next year.

People log in banshee screaming Trump promise to fix it. Excuse me sir do he provide you with a GANNTT chart outlining the resources, dates, predecessor and successor tasks along with milestones etc.

Nope he said he was going to fix it. And in due time he will. Biden crushed the egg supply over 4 years, and it will take time to fix it.

I will say this whether you choose to believe it or not I really never get angry at any poster on here.

I would call it more disappointed that based on the facts and my life experiences I see different solutions to problems than cursing, screaming, hollering, name calling, using information that is poorly sourced, and I could go on, but I hope you see my point where I come from.

I am NOT a political type but do know many politicians and before the last election I spoke to some of them regarding Trump and even asked they send a letter from them I wrote regarding his demeanor. I asked that he stop being so combative and more Presidential in my letter.

In the last election I supported Tim Scott as my first choice and Donald Trump as my second. Tim is a very Christian man married last year down in Mt Pleasant. Could not find a finer gentleman.

In closing I do agree with the Supply Side economic and Common Sense Practical Christian Conservative America First Policies of Trump.

I also find that the conduct against Trump has been unbelievably evil. If I had been Trump, I would be in the looney bin with all the hate and venom leveled at him. WHICH HE DOES NOT DESERVE. SUPERCAPS HERE.

Do I ever disagree with Trump YES, But the short answer is I don't know what he knows so I have to trust that he has a plan.

Over the last 10 years he has had a plan, so I give him the benefit of doubt. With this recent tariff issues that does concern me as I prefer under the radar negotiations and well as not announcing publicly a stance. But again, that is Trump, and it has worked well for him.

I never doubt Trump's love for America so that is the short of it.

Trump had no obligation to put a specific time frame on lowering prices or ending the Ukraine war, etc. Gets really tiring hearing supporters make excuses. Just say he lied and then say you still support his overall moves and move on with life.

Dude, you've seen the man. He's NEVER going to admit any part of something that's not a huge success. That's what Musk is for. Musk paid almost $300 million to Trump to buy the position he's in now. We all know that Trump can be bought... But we also know that Trump will never STAY bought. So Trump/Musk put in the changes that help them out the most and if/when this goes south, Trump will blame Musk and his guys. Trumpians everywhere will accept this without question and it will be business as usual.

It's a simple plan and Trump will spin that and be just fine.

It's kind of a shame too. Everyone knows that the debt has to be fixed at some point. We spend more than we have and not by a little. Everyone also knows that the government is way inefficient and even corrupt in places. This is a chance to get some of that under control. Unfortunately Trump/Musk are going at it with a chainsaw instead of a knife. The government is not simple and going in with a chainsaw is going to cause a bunch of damage along with the needed cuts and that isn't efficient at all. It's ironic that they are being inefficient in cutting the inefficient government.

IMHO there are a couple of ways to run things government wise. You have a high level of government services and you pay high taxes for that. OR you have a lower level of services and pay less in taxes. Traditionally, Democrats tend to the former and Republicans the latter. UNFORTUNATELY for all of us. Both parties seem to be unable to square this away. Sure the Dems have gotten some taxes increased over the decades (unpopular), but they spend even more when they do (popular). And the Republicans love to cut taxes (popular) but are never able to cut those services to make up for it (unpopular). You can tell because the debt rises under either party. So here we sit with a level of services that our current level of taxes can't sustain.

As a moderate, I'm somewhere in the middle. I think a LOT of things the government currently does can be privatized and thus be way more efficient and even turn a profit. I also think a lot of things the government does SHOULDN'T be privatized when turning a profit is not the goal. That's what taxes should pay for.

So he’s doing the right things and we’re gonna see the CPI go the right way for the first time in a long time tomorrow? Is that your assertion? Or is this inflation transitory like the last shit president got us?
