Serious tariff question

Assuming it's not being modified in Mexico/Canada/insert any other country, and is just passing through due to logistics reasons, then yes they'd pay the Chinese tariff. If it's stopping off in Mexico/Canada/etc to be assembled/disassembled/modified/etc then it will pay whatever that country's tariff is upon being exported to the US.

At least that's what my old roommate said who works in international freight - i had the same question.
Too bad she wasn’t President during the Obama years, maybe she could’ve stopped him and Holder from arming the cartels even more. SMH 🤦

An easy Google search will show you all the products Canada charges us a 25% tariff on. Also it's called leverage. If a friend is not being a good friend than take their good bag away and watch them come to the table. Also Canada does not spend near enough on their military they just let us saps do it.

It's common sense that the tariffs should be reciprocal on the same products. Oh yea, common sense skipped a few generations.

If you dont buy that product there is no inflation. If American Companies are charged a tariff in a foreign country they are at a competitive disadvantage and rely on the federal government to correct the unfair markets.
If you don't buy that product because you can no longer afford it, that doesn't help either. Tariffs will drive up prices and combined with the windfall tax cuts, which will put more money in the pockets of corporate America, demand will go up and so will inflation. This plan makes no sense, especially since the economy was already roaring and inflation was manageable.

Are you familiar with history and what happens when you start a trade war?
