This went from tariffs to

And the magas all cheer for higher prices!! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
It's common sense that the tariffs should be reciprocal on the same products. Oh yea, common sense skipped a few generations. An easy Google search will show you all the products Canada charges us a 25% tariff on. Also it's called leverage. If a friend is not being a good friend than take their good bag away and watch them come to the table. Also Canada does not spend near enough on their military they just let us saps do it.
So your really didn't care about inflation? 🤔It's common sense that the tariffs should be reciprocal on the same products. Oh yea, common sense skipped a few generations.
So your really didn't care about
If you dont buy that product there is no inflation. If American Companies are charged a tariff in a foreign country they are at a competitive disadvantage and rely on the federal government to correct the unfair markets. So your really didn't care about inflation? 🤔
If you don't buy that product because you can no longer afford it, that doesn't help either. Tariffs will drive up prices and combined with the windfall tax cuts, which will put more money in the pockets of corporate America, demand will go up and so will inflation. This plan makes no sense, especially since the economy was already roaring and inflation was manageable. If you dont buy that product there is no inflation. If American Companies are charged a tariff in a foreign country they are at a competitive disadvantage and rely on the federal government to correct the unfair markets.

Why are you gay?
Trump and Putin are both cooperating imperialistWhat's there to negotiate?? Canada ain't going to buy into that 51st statehood BS. trump sees Putin annexing land in Ukraine and he feels the need to do the same.
So they are great when they agree with him?
I don’t understand The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board, never have. They come to my aid when I least expect it, sometimes strongly, and I greatly appreciate that — Very meaningful! But then they come out with some real CLINKERS, like today’s Editorial that my Auto Tariffs will hurt the Michigan Automobile Business. They are sooo WRONG, in fact, it is just the opposite. The tariffs will drive massive amounts of auto manufacturing to MICHIGAN, a State which I just easily one in the Presidential Election. They have already stopped numerous new auto plants from being built in other countries, a GIGANTIC WIN (already!)
FOR MICHIGAN, and the United States as a whole. Just let it all happen, and watch, it won’t be even close! AMERICAN industry will thrive, and we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

He's smarter than just about everyone and he has a lot of other smart people surrounding him. Deal with it.So they are great when they agree with him?
And the dumbest and worst when they don't? So basically like all of his hires?
I'll give him this, he is consistent with his idiocy.

LMFAO 😀 😄 😀No he isn't, Good Lord at the verbal fellatio of that rich kid trust fund baby.
Tell me again how he hires the best and brightest, and then let's talk again about his apparent hiring of nobody but Deep State actors and tell me again how smart he is.

🧵🧵 Tariffs under McKinley and how in the long term they contributed to one of the most prosperous periods in American history
Sure there was pain in the short term after tarrifs were enacted
However, its long-term impact was profoundly beneficial, contributing to one of the most prosperous periods in U.S. history (1880-1920).
By protecting domestic industries, it fueled GDP growth, raised wages, and solidified America’s position as an industrial powerhouse.
We are NOT being taken advantage of in trade. Rather, Americans are using the freedom of choice in buying the products they want.I'll make an attempt.
First, i agree with you. The tariffs, on Canada at least, seem to be arbitrary and unclear. Trump has stated that it is due to the fentanyl and drug crises and that could be partially true. Fentanyl is a major problem in the US and I do commend him for trying to get it under control.
However, One can't help but notice that Trump keeps mentioning Canada being the 51st state. People dismissed him as shit talking, but perhaps he is making his intentions more serious. Perhaps he is using it to drive home the point that the US is being taken advantage of in international trade and that includes Canada.
The ultimate point of the Canada Tariffs, as with all Trump tariffs, is to reclaim the status of American economic greatness. Countries have been taking advantage of the dollars reserve status for too long and the US has been getting ripped off. If trump implements them under the guise of defeating fentanyl, while knowingly having an ulterior motive, i am fine with that.
I dont even know if ulterior motive is correct. Hell, he came out and stated he wants Canada to be the 51st state. I guess its just straight negotiating tactic.
We are NOT being taken advantage of in trade. Rather, Americans are using the freedom of choice in buying the products they want.
Furthermore, the population (the U.S. market) of the U.S. is considerably higher than Canada so of course we have a trade imbalance.
For someone that has LIVED in Mexico and worked with and traveled to Canada many times, you’ll realize how right this guy is correct.
