Trump 2024

So sick of white working-class men thinking the deck is stacked against them ... and women are the reason. The complaints that society won't let boys be boys or men be mean are insane. What these 'men' need to do is get higher education, use that education to find a well-paying job (even if it means relocating), and start contributing to society. They might even find that they can find a mate more easily if they have a financial future.

White Christian working-age male here. Great job. Great family. Great - and very attractive - "mate" as you put it (that I landed without a clear financial future btw). Life is good.

Two white male Christian children (blonde hair and blue eyes no less). As long as there isn't some absurd DEI discrimination going on in the future, I'm sure they will be just fine.

I don't know why you're asking me these questions. I have been very vocal about my displeasure with the republican party and the MAGA wing. I think democrat policies are total dogshit though, so there's nowhere to turn. I'm not voting for Trump but will support republican candidates down-ballot to prevent democrat policies from being passed.
I realize it's probably a moot point because SC would be a red state even if you ran an actual dog or a ham sandwich on the GOP ticket, but doesn't voting against an existential threat to our democracy and literal madman trump (no pun intended) whatever problems you have with democrat policies?

Honestly, you don't feel a patriotic responsibility to actively vote against Trump and all his bullshit?

I'm just trying to imagine what it would take for someone to make you vote for sanity over insanity and put country over party.

Yup. Might even enjoy some white privilege!

I did. I voted for Nikki Haley in the primary. And I'll probably write her in for the general. I can vote against Trump without supporting dogshit democrat policy.

I voted for Nikki in the GOP primary in June in Va. She won our precinct. Unfortunately, our precinct is not typical of those across America. Of course, I wouldn’t have voted for Haley in November but I wanted to send a message to Trump.

dude is really going into desperation mode. maybe his internal polling is worse than the public.

"Trump said this at his speech today in Michigan “"We're going to bring back the car industry," Trump said in our interview.

"We're not going to let it disappear. We're going to bring back jobs, we're going to bring back factories and make Michigan very successful again. And we can do that very easily through the TAXATION OF FOREIGN NATIONS”

Can someone explain to me how we would tax a foreign nation ?

So you support Kamala (with the most liberal voting record in the senate) over Nikki Haley?

I voted in the GOP primary solely to send a message to Trump. We don’t register by party in Va so when you vote in a primary election, you are asked which ballot you want: Dem or Republican. I think it is one reason Haley won the primary easily. A lot of people who would generally vote Democratic (but there was no competition in the primary) asked for Republican ballots.

I lost all respect for Haley when, despite everything she said about Trump, endorsed him.

Are we going to talk about Trump transitioning from: "women should be punished for abortions" to being pro-choice? Is that going to be addressed by our resident knuckledraggers?

It's a good move if that's what he did. At least he's probably been pro-choice most of his life and feigned pro-life to win the evangelicals.

Harris is changing long-held positions all of a sudden in a 60 day period because her true beliefs are unelectable.

Are we saying it's okay for one person to flip flop, but not another? I'm just looking for some consistency on this board.

A) Can you show where he ever said women should be punished for abortions?

B) Trump has a long history of being wishy washy on abortions. He's never been the pro-life stalwart people seem to think he is. He just nominated judges with the courage to overturn a really poorly crafted decision.

Also, nice whataboutism when the candidate you support is waffling on everything and can't even clarify as much because she knows she doesn't have to because she knows the left would drink gasoline if their overlords told them to.

This issue has been such a mystery. He didn't feign his support for the cause of life. I think he's generally evolved in that direction. He just can read the room and understands that going all in on pro-life positions isn't going to work right now so he doesn't try.

But when you look around, this country is no where near as prolife as people like me had hoped. We are in the minority and significantly so. Abortion is murder and nothing is going to change that reality. That being said, me forcing my views on others also isn't going to win the argument about abortion being murder and help people to understand the reality of an issue that is so convoluted and clouded in deception and misinformation. As heartbreaking as it is, we have to start at square one now that Roe is gone.

It seems to be a requirement for Republicans and to some degree conservatives to want something gone and then have absolutely no idea how implement that so we end up with a keystone cops episode over and over again. This has been evident in multiple areas and it's yet another example of why faith in government, regardless of who is in charge, is sorely misplaced. It's not an efficient vehicle and it's not populated with smart people.

Lol, I don't care about candidates flip flopping because they all do it. I care about the hypocrites on here crying about Kamala doing it and being silent whenever Trump does... and in some instances making excuses for it (like you and scotch above.)

That was a long time ago. Eight years in fact. In the time since that interview, guess what happened. Trump was president. Did he institute punishments for women who get abortions? Did he even try?

What he said there is stupid. It's yet another reason why I didn't support him then and didn't support him in the most recent primary. He's a very poor messenger and that kind of crap is just more fuel for distracting from the real issues we have to face.

Harris isn't flip-flopping. She's lying. She's clearly stated what she's for and against. She's been part of an administration for the last four years that shows what she's for and against. She's not actually said she's changing her positions. That's come through her subordinates. She just responds by saying her values haven't changed. I agree with her. They haven't changed. She is a leftist and will be one as President if she wins.

I disagree with your stance on abortion but at least give you credit for having this kind of self-awareness. I have to say watching the midterms Red Wave get turned into a Red Wedding was very satisfying based largely on the Republican leadership not grasping what you've espoused here. The idea of a whoremonger like Donald Trump being the one to get Roe overturned is so ghoulish. If anyone thinks that moron hasn't paid for a couple of abortions in his time of nonstop lechery, I've got a bridge to sell them.

How did I know it would be just explained away and justified? I wish you put as much effort into spinning things Democrats (who you don't support) say as much as you do spinning things Trump (who you claim you don't support) says.
