This Trump presidency began with a lot of promise for those of us who want to see an end to so many of the toxic things poisoning our society and our economic future. On a number of fronts, there are good developments that can be celebrated. However, everything they have done is being unnecessarily and quite foolishly being put on the line in the name of these ridiculous tariff and economically idiotic policies. As such, if someone were to call and ask me if I approve or disapprove of the job the president is doing, I would say that I disapprove.

Trump was elected to do three things. Deal with inflation, fix immigration and try to bring peace. There are many other factors but those are the most basic ones. He's done well with immigration but his policies on inflation are going to do the opposite of what he was elected to do. Also, his foreign policy has been really absurd. He's done to Canada what he did to Georgia. He has quite literally given life to the left in Canada and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory for conservatives there. Why? It's all so wrong-headed and just flat dumb!

We don't need jobs from the past. The idea put forward from people in the Trump admin that jobs which were lost have been devastating to Americans is divorced from reality. Those jobs aren't coming back. We do need an industrial base in the US. But we are further down the line than the nations we are going to economic war with for no good reason. And all of this is just going to bring about higher costs for everyone which will use up Trump's capital very quickly. It will destroy his chances to bring about meaningful change on the ideas he has which are good. The best thing the first Trump admin did was lower taxes and get out of the way. That's what they should do now. This robust effort for government to control the economy is not constitutional. He doesn't have the power to just levy tariffs on countries. The Congress should neuter his efforts here immediately.

I'm so frustrated by all this which I knew I would be when it started because this guy just can't help himself. And Vance is so wrong-headed on so many issues that I will be starting my campaign to stop Vance right away. For such a smart person, he's got some backward ass views on foreign policy and economic policy. No thank you!

Trump's fan club better wake up soon. This is not on a good course. I could go on and on about why the economic thinking here is so bad. But let's just stick with trying to create jobs in favor of higher prices for every American is not going to work. He better alter his thinking to address inflation quickly. We're not going to pay off our debt with trade tariffs. That people around Trump think that is scary. All you need is half a brain and 2 mins to do the calculations to realize this.

I hope they wake up!

I say to you. Have patience my man. Trump is playing the long game.

I just bought a bunch of stock today and am celebrating the coming Golden Age.

Trump is on the right train track.

Just enjoy the ride. Its going to get bumpy but it will be fun.

Willence take a deep breath. Trump will not fail and he has a great team around him that knows how to overhaul the economy and make it successful in the long term while putting us in a position to get out of thie suffocating national debt.

There will never have been a transformation of a Country like the transformation that is happening, for all to see, in the United States of America. Companies are pouring into our Country at levels never seen before, with Jobs (and Money!) to follow. It is a beautiful thing to watch!

You obviously don’t understand basic economics in our global economy. You know I don’t think highly of your intellectual capability, so instead of wasting my time explaining things to you I’d rather be entertained by your response.

What is the current strategy for tariffs and how will it lead to sustained economic growth?

Eh, have to disagree. My dad used to tell me that luck was when preparation met opportunity. I think most successful people will acknowledge that they had some luck or caught some breaks along the way.

@scotchtiger

My son once asked me how to make a million dollars

I told him to ride in the high dollar neighborhoods stop at big houses knock on the front door ask for the man of the house then explain that he was a rookie kid wanting to make a million dollars and was asking for any advice on how to fo it

Son takes some advice goes out in world fighting it out calling home crying and whining and I tell him to suck it up and focus on whatever his goal is

Well after he works a few years he comes home with a bank statement

Has the six figures million dollars plus balance

I laugh hug my son and we go out and play golf

After the round we are at dinner and I ask him how hard was it to meet his goal and does not want to fight that battle again

I laugh and say well be glad as the first million is the hardest

My father in law always told me the only way i would be a millionaire is if he gave me two million and after a year I had lost down to a million

He was a pretty smart guy and I learned a lot from him Did not appreciate his harsh ass self as much as I should have

He was training me for the battles to come

I would argue that you are confusing luck with preparation and opportunity along with keeping eyes and ears always wide open

There will be s time you may describe it as luck that a decision will have to be made that will have a profound impact in ones career

I’m pretty well aligned with you here.

Reducing government spending, attacking waste and fraud, fixing the border, getting rid of dumb social shit, extending lower tax rates, strategically considering expansion (ie Greenland), cracking down on entitlement abuse, etc is all great.

Treating other countries like shit, excessive tariff usage, talking about a 3rd term, bad pardon decisions, etc is fvcking stupid and unnecessary.

Lucky has little to do with being successful

There is the exception of marrying well

I’ll admit I found this board entertaining and a window into the MAGA universe, but it’s honestly not a great use of my time. I apologize for the personal criticisms - you can see certain MAGA beliefs frustrate me and I channeled my frustration towards a few of you.

You posted yesterday morning up until 8a, restarted at 8p, and have continuously posted with only a ~3 hour break between ~1-4a. I’m saying this now as a fellow Tiger (and someone who at one point in my life used the internet as a distraction) - I believe it’s worth re-assessing if spending so many hours of the day on social media + forums is the best use of your time. You’re obviously a passionate and inquisitive guy - perhaps that passion could be funneled into hobbies or other offline pursuits like excercise, sports, etc. Again no judgment - I’ve been there before.. Feel free to reach out if you need anything.

Are you trying to silence liberal voices? Maybe you should post a goofy gif about it.
Yeah when I was encouraging @TigerGrowls to post more often, I was ACTUALLY silencing liberals. Nothing gets by you Einstein!

Just checking because I learned over the weekend that if you speak to a conservative on this board, you're trying to silence them. It wouldn't be nice if you did the same thing.

Do you deny you are constantly trying to silence conservative posters and discourage them from posting?

10 point win in the Wisconsin Supreme Court for the more liberal justice and a narrower margin in Florida doesn’t bode well for 26 on the MAGA train. Too much chaos and gleeful cruelty for the average American.

Not so fast hombre. Last night was not bad for pubs. They won both FL seats by 10+ and passed the voter ID constitutional amendment in WI so I will take it and walk away with a smile. 26 midterms are a long ways off and a lot will occur between now and then to affect those races. I am extremely happy with Trump so far even though I am not super happy with the Congress so far. I will be voting pub though no matter what because the democrats are Communist liars.

To be fair, they won by 10+ in districts trump won by 30+. That being said, the Wisconsin SC race was more important considering Florida is a lost cause, and has been for 2 decades now.

Thought the Tuesday was a really great day for MAGA.

Was it perfect NO but 3 out of 4 is NOT BAD.

Having the liberal judge is a disappointment but then the judge has a lot of what ifs, and the gerrymandering may be years away and things may happen.

Having the Constitutional amendment that requires photo ID in voting has CRUSHED the voter fraud that is running rampant in Wisconsin. And is virtually impossible to overturn without lots of work over years.

Having the two Reps in the House helps with passing laws.

So all in all it's a good day. Take it and go to the house.

Except there's not been any substantial voter fraud in Wisconsin, or anywhere else in the US.
