Oklahoma is having a Clemson 23' year

Both the receiving corps and offensive line are MASH injury level. Five five offensive lineman and five receivers are injured. The similarities with 2023 Clemson are very close. Their defense is good enough to win games - if they have some offense. Unlike Clemson, they have some brutal games ahead. I don't expect them to win against Texas, Ole Miss, or Alabama. Mizzou and LSU are winnable with their defense. Losing to UofSC is unacceptable. The Gamecocks are the Homecoming opponent.

FSU Tickets

A buddy of mine has 4 tickets and a parking pass for the FSU game. The tickets are in section 9 row 35. He is asking $300 for everything.

If you are interested, you can DM me with your phone number, and I can provide it to him such that he can contact you and y'all can complete the transaction.

Footage from a meeting with Trump and advisors re: Ukraine smh

This needed its own thread. There is a new documentary called From Russia With Lev where Lev Parnas, the man Trump sent to dig up dirt on the Biden family and deal with Ukraine, gives all kinds of insider info on what was going on in the Trump administration at the time. Look at this short clip of one of the meetings and realize what kind of moron we're dealing with in Trump.

NIL and recruiting issues!!!

It's time to make a decision. If we want a competitive football program beyond next year, some people on this board have got to change their stance on NIL. Dabo isn't the issue—money is. The funds available for football players are limited, and despite what people think, Dabo hasn’t hindered the program with his views on paying high school prospects. The money simply isn’t there. If Clemson pursued that route with the current resources, we’d see massive roster turnover.

As fans and Alumni, we are at a crossroads. We’ve got to decide where we want this program to go moving forward. With current NIL contributions, we're looking at being a fringe top-25 team after the 2025 season. We don’t need to match OSU’s $27 million payroll , but we need to double the $7 million we're spending now.

Yes, Dabo should have been more upfront about the funds needed, but we know Dabo. He is not going to do something “publicly” that backtracks on his previous pay-for-play stance. But that’s what the sport has become.

I’m sure there is a lot of people on this board who can’t afford a little extra toward NIL but for the ones who can, the moment to give is now.

Time is running out.

For many reasons, the next 3 - 7 years is going to be crucial in determining the future of our athletic program,

If we give Dabo the resources, he will spend it. I truly believe that.

NIL Money

Would you care if Clemson charged an extra 10-20% on your season tickets if you knew the extra $$ went towards NIL money?

I know right now we can't do that but if state laws allowed it, would you care?

I would think it would create an extra $5-$7 million a year on top of any other raised NIL money.

I don't think the transfer portal is the answer. But we have to get back to get the top 4 and 5 star recruits. Unfortunately, playing the NIL game is the only way to get the very top recruits out of high school.

What are you thinking on these college football games this coming weekend?

Va. Tech at #7 Miami
#22 BYU at Baylor (BYU looking to go 5-0)
Maryland at Indiana (Indiana looking to go 5-0)
#15 Louisville at #16 Notre Dame (LOU looking to go 4-0)
Arkansas at #24 Texas A&M
Colorado at UCF (UCF looking to go 4-0)
Liberty at Appalachian State (LIB looking to go 5-0)
#21 Oklahoma at Auburn
North Carolina at Duke (DUK looking to go 5-0)
#2 UGA at #3 Alabama
#19 Illinois at #9 Penn State
Florida State at SMU
Washington State at #25 Boise State (WASH ST looking to go 5-0)

MUST change asap...

Dabo's stance on NiL & not paying incoming freshman must immediately change. There's no doubt about it. We are getting[UPSELL[/UPSELL] torched for top high school talent. The life of the program is at stake. Other schools are killing us with talk like: "Dabo makes 11 million per year yet he wants my son to play for free? While others are offering big money,"...it's become impossible to recruit elite talent.
