Yah the Gastonia health director was fired for saying the health department would work hard to meet the challenges of racism. His conservative boss canned him for stating that. It is a crazy time.
I don't have a nominee for potus I don't run a political party. Your candidate doesn't really concern me. I don't really care what is on the BLM website. What is happening in the streets is whats important.

I think peoples capacity to process social media is the biggest problem. Are there some dumb extremists on the left and the right? Yep. So anyway you are kind of proving my point. It seems to me that people really want this to be a left vs right thing and bickering about that rather than talking about reform.
It's a damn shame. The original movement was legitimate and sought to create better relationships between the black community and local law enforcement. It was an amazing idea that got taken over by power hungry progressive pieces of shit who only use black people as pawns to gain more power.
My wife and I were huge donors to the cause when it first started. They were actually making solid gains in communities between officers and the black residents. It was yielding legitimate long term relationships that would have continued to bud into generational changes and would have strengthened even more communities.
Then the cause got corrupted and turned into a political piece on a chess board.
There is not one person I have ever seen that didnt say the Minneapolis cop shouldn’t be burned. Everyone is for reform, and conservatives are on your side with police and criminal justice reform. What we are asking numbnuts on the left to do is call out the nonsense that is leading to this madness. That’s a good question. Defund the police is probably the worst word choice policy. But the overall sentiment of the movement points out that for many cities in the U.S., the police budget is the largest expenditure by a mile. So many cities struggle to pay for necessities like education, medical care, community development, infrastructure, etc. while the local police department is armed to the teeth and swimming in cash. The movement is about restructuring budget priorities so that police can focus on just being police.

Defund the police is a dumb slogan. Police cost way too much money and a discussion about shrinking their responsibilities and shrinking their budget is a good one to have.
The slogan is silly because it gets people riled up.
I almost feel bad for Trump supporters. I can tolerate those that voted for him because they just hate democratic policies. However, those who openly support Trump tend to be terrible people and usually nothing short of stupid

if you’re ok with people losing their livelihoods at the hands of rioters and looters, then you’re part of the problem if you don’t speak up. If you’re ok with going after Columbus, Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, ect, then you’re part of the problem of you don’t speak up. If you’re ok with people getting fired for refusing to support BLM, then you’re part of the problem if you don’t speak up. The list goes on and on, and until some sane voices on the left step up, there will be a new list of grievances because it isn’t possible to appease. Moderates Dems are the only way that this overreach will stop, but they are all to chickenshit to do anything. Trust me, that the best option to stopping this thing, because when conservatives hit their breaking point, it’s going to get ugly.
