Attack on Israel and intelligence failure

While the Biden administration sits on it's ass...

Americans Evacuated

Rescind the damn $$

Serious question - why do they need Cory Mills on the ground to help evacuate American citizens when they can take transportation to the airport and fly out by themselves? I get it that flights are extremely expensive right now but what is he doing that they can't do on their own?

They don't. Also, what's been done about Palestinian Americans stuck in Gaza?

There are also several others helping with flights out. They just don’t want ecred or attention.

But what are they doing? I've seen a picture with him and a busload of Americans but is he just escorting them to the airport? Has he arranged flights out that he's paying for? Or is he just there to make a name for himself so he can mock the President? Even though we know he's a very vocal Biden critic, If it's for moral support, I applaud that too, but just wondering exactly what he's doing that they can't do for themselves.

No idea, frankly. I commented only to say there are other people there actually helping with flights out by organizing flights on lended aircraft or operating their own. Can’t speak to what he’s doing because I don’t know. I’ve never loved altruism for the sake of social media clout, though.

Yea, that was my point with the Sean Penn reference. When he shows up at a disaster “to help” with a camera they hate it. But when a fellow maga does it, it’s the best thing ever.

Sean Penn is an authentic humanitarian who has done more good for this world than 99.9% of Americans. I have a friend who used to work for CORE so I know firsthand how dedicated he is to altruism. And he doesn't just show up with a camera - he provides relief efforts that fill the gaps where other organizations can't, notably Haiti but also Maui and Ukraine. He also set up free drive-thru COVID testing sites all over the country during the height of the pandemic.

Think most of the commecial airlines have suspended flights to and from Israel. He would have had a private jet or military aircraft, or at least that is my understanding.

There are flights out but they're $2000 - $3000 +

I said "out" not "to"
If they aren't flying to, how are they flying out? Once all of the planes leave, they don't come back. Thousands of people are trying to get out.

No US based carrier or even international are flying into a war zone.

Did you click the link? You can buy tickets out if you can afford to.

The only carriers flying are Israeli based airlines, all other commercial airlines have suspended flights.

I'm not a fan of anyone that shows up, takes photos etc in order to get some points on the board but my understanding is that Corey Booker who was in Israel at the time of the attack, used his influence to get himself out, Cory Mills used his influence to evacuate Americans.

Ditto for Daniel Goldman

I mean that sounds heroic and all but this is the same guy that claimed Nicole Gee's family had to pay $60,000 to repatriate her body from Afghanistan and we found out that was a complete fabrication, so until we get more information, his "rescue" seemingly involved riding a bus with some people to the airport so he could get airtime on FoxNews to bash President Biden.

Lebanon was the only Christian-majority nation in the Middle East.

It's where I was born.

We prided ourselves on inclusivity. Always welcoming Arab Muslim refugees from all over the Middle East.

We had the best economy despite having no natural oil. The best universities.

They called Beirut the "Paris of the Middle East" and the Mountains of Lebanon was a tourist destination.

My early childhood was idyllic, my father was a prosperous businessman in town and my mother was at home with me, an only child.

Slowly, the Arab Muslims began to become the majority in Lebanon and our rights began to wither away.

Soon, we would find ourselves unable to leave our small Christian town without fear of being stopped and killed by Arabs. In Lebanon your religion is on your government issued ID.

As the war intensified and the radical Islamists made their way south, my home was hit by an errant rocket and my life was forever changed.

We spent the next almost decade in a bomb shelter, scraping together pennies and eating dandelions and roots just to survive.

If it was not for Israel coming in and surrounding our town, I do not know If I would be here today.

Lebanon is now a country 100% controlled and run by Hezbollah. I lost my country of birth.

I thank God every single day I was able to immigrate to America and live out the dream that BILLIONS of people only dream of having.

Now here in America, my adopted country that I have come to love so much, I see the same threats and warning signs happening now that took place in Lebanon when I was a child.

This is my warning to you, America, reverse course now while you still can.

It's not too late to save our freedom and preserve it for the next generation.

Not going to defend the political angle as I think it's an example of what is totally wrong with politics in the first place but to defend Mills, the guy went back to Afghanistan on his own dime to exfill the Afghani nationals and Americans left behind multiple times.

He just did the same thing again in active war zone, when our state department isn't picking up the phone so he gets a pass from me.

Also, the mom of the soldier you're referring to misunderstood the $60k cost to move her body. She thought she was being given a direct quote, what they were saying is the cost was $60k but were waiting on a charity to assume the cost. She acknowledged that confusion after the report came out. Surely you can understand how a former combat soldier, now politician might get emotional over the first part of that story?

Actually, I was wrong......it's not just Mills helping. Floyd Mayweather filled up his private jet with supplies and flew over........the State Department, not so much.

The Christians in Lebanon aren't utterly blameless victims.

Assumes the people of Gaza can control Hamas, and he knows that. The Hamas leadership isn't bothered by this. It's an excuse to inflict pain on the civilian population.

I applaud everything Corey Mills is doing and anyone else who is stepping up to help get Americans home. If Sean Penn wants to go over there, I'd applaud that too. I never got the hate for him. Again it's @nytigerfan painting with a wide brush. (getting old!)
My reason for posting it was to ask why it takes these kinds of people to do this kind of thing and not our government?

Do you think it is possible that our government is helping people and not live casting it to fox news?
