Dabo’s shirt on Twitter

Program perception is still a thing as much or as little as Dabo cares about the media. Continually being dragged on social media the platform that all of the kids we recruit take in news from is never going to be good.
Maybe Dabo believes that the players we recruit will form their own opinion about our program based on their own research and not be swayed by some social media hack with an agenda.

That’s fair but what are we gaining by not even putting a statement out on the Pearman incident? That’s really my bigger question.

We just need one strong statement from Dabo about the Pearman situation and all this goes to bed. Media will continue to make noise until he does.

I will admit, I’m surprised Dabo hasn’t addressed it yet.
It’s a huge mistake he hasn’t. He had a coach under his watch say the n-word 3 times. Former players have discussed it. Former players have said they aren’t surprised about Pearman. Dabo should have said something already. You can’t be silent now. Not about this. Not during this time.

So that clears it up how? He’s an OU fan living in Greenville, which is probably the most pro Clemson city in the country. Go back through his tweets, he talks a lot of smack about Clemson.
Dabo was probably for sure wearing that shirt, but it's a foundation doing the exact things we are talking about. Bringing people together.

Sports is one of the few areas that brings together people of different backgrounds.

Wolken and David Hale laying it on as well.
These are not unreasonable takes.

I fully expect Dabo will come out with a strong statement, and I fully expect he will be with his players at their demonstration next weekend, and when that happens I will applaud it. But until then, for right now, based on where things stand, Dabo deserves to be raked over the coals when shit heads like Herman and Pruitt are out-leading him and he’s the one specifically dealing with a racially charged incident on his practice field.

The shirt really isn’t a big deal except that its compounded with everything Dabo has said (and more importantly, not said) this week.

As I said in another thread, Dabo should take some pointers from Jeff Scott on this.

I'm just here sharing

So these types of guys are saying that Dabo and Drew Brees are “bad guys” now .... I’d like to see someone (with More power than me) ask these media guys what they’ve done for black people that even close to what Dabo and drew have done. Real easy to type and post, but how many lives have they bettered???

One day people are going to learn that Dabo doesn't care what the media thinks or wants him to do.

Yea—Clemson fans know this. Its a big part of his success. All that’s fine and dandy. But Dabo and Clemson fans just need to be willing to eat all the negative pub that comes with him sitting this one out too. This thing is just gonna fester and simmer till he does.

Dabo loses none of his reputation as self reliant leader...that same dogged mentality of doing it his own way (& made him successful) by coming out to address this.

Dabo out taking pictures with strangers with no mask on any of them. Call be gullible but I doubt Dabo would not be practicing social distancing right now. That picture is either fake or very very old.

Hi. I’m the concerted effort to destroy God in this society. I will destroy anyone and anything that professes a love for that entity and make examples of public figures to keep others from following the path. I have many followers but many more useful idiots who act unknowingly on my behalf.

pleased to meet you. Hope you guessed my name.

Curious and asking sincere question: What is the perception of Drew Brees know after his apology? Good guy all along and better guy now? Guy that will bend to pressure, so we question his motive for the shift in public stance? Lost in the middle now?

Lol I promise you Dabo is not wearing a mask at all. He’s not buying into the bullshit. Guarantee it.
So, 115,000 dead in 4 months is B.S.? Even after quarantine in nearly all of the four months? I find it funny how much your narrative changes. You went from "this crap is the same as the flu"....to "well, I agree with the social distancing and being safe"...to "this stuff is B.S.". You're worse than a fickle woman.

Completely agree. Dabo is a great person but he is far from “best is standard” right now. Coach Venables shared some powerful perspectives on social media today as well.

I gave it the benefit of the doubt for a short time. I’ve come to realize it’s going nowhere. There may or may not be a vaccine. Maybe it will or won’t be successful. Who knows, but I know that life goes on. Most people do not give a shit about it anymore, other than CNN.

Have fun driving down the road in your car wearing a mask.

Your 110k number is 99%+ elderly. They are very old, which means they’ll be dying soon. That’s cold, but it’s a fact.

Not only that, he travelled to his 3rd home during shutdown while dan wolken was working like a govt mule. That’s not fair and someone needs to pay.
Jimminy crickets

I do think the criticisms of Dabo are justified. Seems hypocritical to me that he uses his platform to talk about his love of god and preaches the gospel of the Jesus Christ but he discourages his players from participating in protests and ‘being distractions.

however, Dabo has said this very phrase over a year ago when he accepted the Coach of the Year award. In my opinion, people are jumping to conclusions in this case unjustly. Criticize him for his deafening silence these past couple weeks, but, not for this,

You’re full of it. He doesn’t have to get in front of a microphone or on social media and get all political and talk about equality. That’s not his job. If people choose to do that, that’s great. He should not be bashed for not doing it.

In all honesty most of the coaches doing it, are doing it because of media pressure. Dabo just doesn’t care about that.

Jesus, Mork tweeting like this just perpetuates this garbage. Clemson didn’t get to where it is today under Dabo with racial problems. We have good kids from all walks on our team that get along beautifully and love each other. The players talk about the great culture, the coaches do, recruits do, fans do, it’s just the reality of it. Our players also rarely get in big trouble (guns, rape, battery, etc) like you see at most other places. This is such a mountain out of a mole hill.
