That picture is OLD
Excellent post but:
Dabo will do that in his own time. Not twitter’s or the media’s time.
Photo has no meta data. Someone doesn’t want you to know how old the picture is.Ok I was wrong the low quality picture fooled me.. Still it’s an old picture that’s not current and has nothing to do with today.
I agree, he always has.The pressure at this point is becoming internal (within Clemson Family) and more meaningful than media hysteria. I have faith he’ll step up.
i agree butI mean you started with it was fake now it’s old do you have any proof. I’d like it to be old too as it’s dumb if he wore this shirt today. The shirt in itself is perfectly fine but in the middle of what is essentially a pr nightmare it’s a shocking lack of awareness if he wore it today.
i agree but
The picture had its meta data erased. That’s all you need to know.
Dang TL confirming this is real. Goodness gracious Dabo is a fool.

AgreePeople really need to get a life. If you don’t know who Dabo is as a person by now, then you never will. He doesn’t need to make some rehearsed speech to remind you of that and how he feels about racism. I respect him even more for not caving to the demands of the media.
I don’t disagree at the core but sometimes you just kinda know how it’s gonna be perceived.I get your point...I really do. But we’re gonna ban the word “matters” now? The whole country needs to take a deep breath IMO.
Haha look at this guys twitter account ..This is the picture circulating on social media. They’re saying it’s a Confederate hat but to be honest I know absolutely nothing in regards to Confederate symbols etc.
Oh FFS... I loathe Kirby with every fiber of my being, but there are about 100 more substantive things to roast him over than the mere fact (without any additional context) he wore a hat a couple decades ago. Cancel culture is beyond pathetic. This is the picture circulating on social media. They’re saying it’s a Confederate hat but to be honest I know absolutely nothing in regards to Confederate symbols etc.
Don’t see the issue here? Why is everyone so butthurt?
In the Crisis Communicatikns biz we have a saying: silence is hiding and hiding is guilt.
Hopefully Dabo is going to come out of the box on this with something truly major but his silence thus far has really eroded his brand equity.
Program perception is still a thing as much or as little as Dabo cares about the media. Continually being dragged on social media the platform that all of the kids we recruit take in news from is never going to be good.
Here’s my thing. I’m to the point where it doesn’t personally offend me what he said or didn’t say and I believe he loves his players. But he’s botched this and it’s hurting our program. We can all at least agree we want our program and team to be unified and to play well, right? If this ends up not affecting that and he’s able to continue to be a good leader for our guys, I’m good. But I’m telling you, I think it’s hurting our team chemistry. And Dabo did that.
I’m a big fan but the shirt is tone deaf at best.
Thats what bothers me about all this BS. Its all based off of a false narrative that can be easily disproven but nobody wants to hear the actual truth. This is the sad part about this whole situation. The statistical evidence does not support the statement that white officers are more likely to shoot unarmed black men. As a matter of fact a Washington State University study in 2016 found that white officers are 3 times less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than unarmed white suspects. In that same study the researchers found that white officers take more time to fire a black suspect than they do at a white suspect. Now, does racism exist? Absolutely it does. Is there some systemic conspiracy of racism within police forces? I don't find the evidence supports that. If you have time search on YouTube for the conversation between Dave Rubin and Larry Elder on this subject.

I’m plenty rational. I stand by my opinion. If black lives matters was a thing before that shirt then it’s tone deaf, even if you think BLM is misguided at times.I thought you were more rational than this.

I’m not offended and I do disagree about tone deaf. Take a breath. We don’t have to agree on all points. It has nothing to do with thinking BLM is misguided or not, at least not to me. This is a slogan for a youth football association, no more no less. It’s not automatically offensive now because BLM exists. It’s also not tone deaf....anyone who is offended by this is one of the people that just want to be offended and will latch on to anything to make it happen.

I totally agree as evidenced by most of my posts on the subject. It just fires me up because I believe this has simply gone too far. I also believe a lot of the outrage is fake.

Apparently he did.Nobody cares what you said. That's the thing.
Apparently he did.
Your agenda on here is crystal clear and it’s getting old fast. I’ve never seen you contribute one thing to this board football or recruiting related, but you’re sure in every one of these type threads talking about how ashamed you are of Clemson and Dabo. Yeah we see you.Dang TL confirming this is real. Goodness gracious Dabo is a fool.
So you’re cool as long as you agree? How does that make you any different than the side you rail against?Cool man. We got your opinion ITT. Thanks for coming out
Well I’m just not learning this. If so, i apologize. I’ve been wrong before and will be again. I thought it was simply a shirt. Thanks for educating me.Football Matters is an organization that focuses on promoting on all the good that comes from the game. Like helping communities through service, higher graduation rates, and making the world a better place.
I’m sure he just grabbed a tshirt from the drawer and wore it out. Same thing we all do.
So you’re cool as long as you agree? How does that make you any different than the side you rail against?
Calm down. I was wrong apparently. Won’t be the last time today.
