I thought that at first, but now I’m realizing that most recruits are smart enough to see through this phony outrage from the media and opposing teams fans on Twitter. They know who Dabo is and what he stands for.

Yea I don’t think it’s gonna go in the tank or anything, but I do think something like this could be a differentiator for a top recruit from outside the region. Public perception matters.

Exactly. 90% of the coaches who have spoken publicly have just read some bullshit cookie cutter statement while standing in front of the microphone and basically doing a dance so as to not be viewed as insensitive to this issue that's currently at the forefront of our society. Dabo knows how much he cares and so do his players and lots of other people.....even the people bashing him now know how much he cares and how good of a person he is.
They are just trying to tear him down at this point for literally no reason. It's sickening and people like David Hale and Dan Wolken can walk into oncoming traffic as far as I'm concerned.
If he really wore that shirt today (I truly believe it’s fake because I just refuse to believe a millionaire could be that stupid) he deserves everything coming his way from the media

Disagreeing with Hale’s statement is living in denial. Dabo has an opportunity to make a powerful statement, but if TI is a true indication of the Clemson fanbase it’s easy to see why he and Clemson University are reluctant to do so.
I don’t care what a football coaches stance on this. I don’t care what elected officials think about a football game plan.
You may not, but the football coach likely has more direct impact on our current society than you’re acknowledging. For better or worse.

At the same time, it took me about 60 seconds to find the dude who posted the original on linkedin, so he's playing with some serious fire if he knowingly threw bullshit gas on this fire with Dabo (not threatening him personally, just saying there are a lot of crazy fans on the web). He didn't delete his twitter account; he just changed his @ and profile pic.
The only reason people want Dabo to make a statement is so they can twist it and turn it against him. He is in a no win situation. No matter what he says he will be criticized to the end of the earth because he is a man of faith and conviction and that does not fit the agenda for an extremely liberal news media.

Dabo’s faith bothers a lot of national media. Heck there are many on this board that if he didn’t coach clemson they’d hate him because of it.
The criticism over his last statement had nothing to do with his sharing his faith...because he didn’t actually share his faith, but rather he used the word “faith” as a shield from actually saying anything worthwhile at all. Jeremiah 29:11? For real? Might as well have quoted Philippians 4:13 while he was at it. It was hollow.

Good grief look at the fricken picture yourself! I posted Dan Wolkens tweet above too. These areas on the shirt are all one color palette. That doesn’t exist in a true photo. It is impossible for that to happen, it IS a photoshop. Also the horrible touch up on the arm area.

I’m not personally offended. But if you don’t think it’s simply tone deaf or at a bare minimum a bad look I don’t know what to tell you.
Was just speaking in general terms and not to anyone in particular. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the shirt. Not a damn thing wrong with it
