Dems, please tell me why you support democrats.

L
I don’t care why. I will do my best to try and remain impartial.

I just want liberal thoughts on why they vote the way that they do.
Let’s start with an explanation on defunding the police and supporting police

So since George Floyd instead of following the process there are like 600 riots resulting in deaths and massive losses of police

The consequences has been a huge uptick in deaths and violence along with crimes particularly against the 12 % minority population as well as the other 88% of America

So what is the left solution to thousands of black folks dying at the hands of other black folks instead of being protected by the demonized white folk

My black friends tell me a lot

Now you folks tell me

The last point couldn’t come soon enough. On the contrary Republicans would prefer a theocratic hellscape.

And yes, I’d sure as hell trade loan forgiveness for preserving a peaceful transition of power
You take out a loan, you pay the loan! It’d not my responsibility to pay your debts.
You can’t afford the loan, go to a different scholl

Good thing I have zero debt from school and actually agree with you on the point

And where did Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness come from? Judeo/ Christian principles, which is what this country was built on. We lost our soul to this socialist, secular, woke movement.

Would you like to hear what Thomas Paine had to say about "Judeo/Christian principles?"

“Of all the systems of religion that ever were invented, there is no more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory to itself than this thing called Christianity. Too absurd for belief, too impossible to convince, and too inconsistent for practice, it renders the heart torpid or produces only atheists or fanatics. As an engine of power, it serves the purpose of despotism, and as a means of wealth, the avarice of priests, but so far as respects the good of man in general it leads to nothing here or hereafter.”

That's the person who literally wrote "The Rights of Man" and a huge intellectual inspiration for the revolution shitting on your religon

"The most detestable wickedness, the most horrid cruelties, and the greatest miseries, that have afflicted the human race have had their origin in this thing called revelation, or revealed religion. It has been the most dishonourable belief against the character of the divinity, the most destructive to morality, and the peace and happiness of man, that ever was propagated since man began to exist. It is better, far better, that we admitted, if it were possible, a thousand devils to roam at large, and to preach publicly the doctrine of devils, if there were any such, than that we permitted one such impostor and monster as Moses, Joshua, Samuel, and the Bible prophets, to come with the pretended word of God in his mouth, and have credit among us."

"The study of theology, as it stands in Christian churches, is the study of nothing; it is founded on nothing; it rests on no principles; it proceeds by no authorities; it has no data; it can demonstrate nothing; and it admits of no conclusion. Not anything can be studied as a science, without our being in possession of the principles upon which it is founded; and as this is the case with Christian theology, it is therefore the study of nothing.”

This is so stupidly ignorant and you sadly don't even realize it. You guys love slogans and bumper stickers, but there is zero understanding or depth to any of it. Keep talking America first while wearing your Made in China MAGA hats.

Btw, Trump isn't a Christian, how do you reconcile that with your desire for a Christian country?

Are you patting yourself on your back right now
You literally don't know the origin of the quote you cling to and misattribute to "Christian" thinking the work of Paine and other Deists who indeed identified a basic human right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness independent of a revealed god or divinely appointed king.

And as i mentioned earlier, mocked the hell out of your fantasy

You’re the ignorant one. So you’re so smart, if our principles didn’t come from judeo/ Christian principles where did they come from???

How about you tell us where it came from so we can laugh at you while you display how poorly educated you actually are. Did you fail Tech Prep Government?

Read "The Rights of Man" and you'll have your answer. Where you won't find your answer is the collected mysticism of the Israelites, or the notion that god decided to save everyone by having someone tortured to death in Roman Palestine.

It's absurd, and it's rightfully doubted by children who are cudgled to believe this nonsense with the threat of eternal damnation by a "loving" god. Born sick, commanded to be well. What a sadistic hell that would be

Clearly the Ancient Israelites figured that murder and perjury were acceptable until Moses said otherwise.

No you’re the over educated self impressed one… you tell me

What exactly is "over educated". I feel like I'm fairly appropriately educated. I know that our Founding Fathers were Deists and not specifically Christian. I know that Religious Persecution is what brought Europeans to America not being persecuted, wanting to have the writes to persecute others. I am a Christian, but I recognize that much of the worst episodes in American history were supported and justified by Christian leaders.

Again, I ask you this, how can you support a total false Christian like Donald Trump? He has literally said he never had to ask Jesus for Forgiveness because he hadn't done anything wrong. He is an absolute scumbag immoral person and it's extremely well documented.

You really need to sit this out. You are making yourself look foolish.

Ummm Thomas Jefferson was absolutely a deist. He also loved to force his slaves to have sex with him, so not a Bastian of morality.

Well Jefferson was literally accused of being a "infidel," so that's another badge of honor for him.

Part of the Treaty of Tripoly signed by Adams in 1797, "The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen; and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

How much more clear could it be made for you lol

Dude, nobody says flying the flag is offensive. Why do you think flying the flag is necessary to show you love the country?

You must be one of those dude who think Lee Greenwood singing Proud to be an American is the greatest patriotic thing ever. You love the symbol, the statement, it's easy to understand, it doesn't require any intelligence.

I prefer to show my love by helping people, by trying to make the country better,by realizing that we haven't been perfect, but we could be a lot better.

This is for you.

The irony of this is you are insulting and denigrating intelligence, when the founding fathers were the best read and learned men of their day. They were Deists who believes in a higher power, but valued intelligence and learning more.

Also, our founding fathers weren't perfect, they were extremely flawed. They were slave owners, they were extremely chauvinistic.

As previously stated, read the "Rights of Man." You'll have your answer. They sure as hell don't come from "Judeo/Christian" principles, among which we have an endorsement of genocide, slavery, and the consideration of women as chattel.

You'll find more moral teaching in one work of Plato than the accumulated garbage that is the bible.

It's comical. Christian Europe was a collection of absolutist monarchies for centuries, but "Christian" principles were the catalyst in sparking the American Revolution (and you may very well consider the French Revolution as part of the same broader movement)?

So have I insulted you. Why do liberals find it necessary to insult when someone has a different point of view.
There’s only one reason why someone has the need to put down some one else… to make themselves feel superior or better because of their own insecurities.
If you were as smart as you portray yourself here on the internet you wouldn’t have to resort to insulting everyone you disagree with.
And yes I do love the Lee Greenwood song. And I love when they play it at the Clemson games. That must drive you crazy doesn’t it
