NEWS: @Tesla Semi exceeds DHL's expectations.

Over a two-week trial period this summer, DHL Supply Chain USA took a thorough look under the hood of the Tesla Semi, integrating the e-truck into 3,000 miles (5,000 km) of normal operations out of Livermore, California.

The trial included one long haul of 390 miles (625 km) – fully loaded with a gross combined weight of 75,000 pounds (34 metric tons) – confirming the Tesla Semi’s ability to carry typical DHL payloads over a long distance on a single charge.

The trial Semi averaged 1.72 kWh/mile operating at speeds exceeding 50 mph (80 km/h) on average for over half its time on the road.

“The results exceeded our expectations and even Tesla’s own rating – The Tesla Semi is ready for prime time!”

Interesting, considering the only way SpaceX has been able to stay afloat the last ~decade is thanks to a windfall of government subsidies (SOCIALISM).

That being said, the launch from this weekend is awesome and kudos to all the engineers at SpaceX for continuing to drive progress despite having an idiot as CEO.

Those are government contracts, not subsidies.

Remember SpaceX got a contract for less than half of what Boeing got. SpaceX has been to the space station and back several times now (actually fulfilled the contract). Boeing has only been TO the station once with SpaceX having to rescue them for the ride home.

Additionally, SpaceX is cash flow positive, i believe, after Starlink. And Starlink works incredible as it is. I read yesterday, that when Starship can deliver larger satellites to space, Starlink expects to be able to provide gigabyte download speeds. Wow!

Elon single handedly beat all the other rocket companies and there was some good competition in Bezos and others.

He has USA as the leader of the world right now in several industries. Imagine hating him and slowing him down like the democrats.

Trump just said that if he wins, we will go to Mars by the end of his term. We will Make America so ****ing Great the Libs won't know what hit em.

Sorry, being kept afloat by big daddy gov't is a socialism that I just can't support. It's a combination of subsidies and gov't contracts - something like $5-$6b worth, iirc. All that being said, good for him and good for SpaceX. I support what SpaceX is doing and I'm glad that he's been able to prop his company up for 20 years on gov't funding in order to get where he is today.

We can't cede the high ground of space to China. If we are to stay in the game it requires public/government funding. Public-private parthership is the fastest, most cost effective way to do that.

The top 1% of this country pay 40% of all of the taxes that are paid in.

Elon Musk paid $11 billion in taxes.

I find it comical that a bunch of soy latte drinking basement dwellers who can’t even pay their student loans want to sit here and speculate about how much Elon Musk pays in taxes.

He pays more in taxes in one year than you will ever make your lifetime times 100,000. Maybe worry about paying your student loan debt without forcing it onto the American people before you comment on the status of billionaires like Elon Musk and Donald Trump who are self-made.

And when I say, self-made, I mean their wealth doesn’t derive from selling out the American people in “public service.”

Wow!!

JUST IN: Elon Musk says his son is "dead" thanks to the woke mind virus after he was put on puberty blockers, says he vowed to "destroy the woke mind virus after that."

🔥🔥

"I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys... This was before I had really any understanding of what was going on."

"There was a lot of confusion and you know, I was told, oh he might commit su*cide..."

"My son Xavier is dead, k*lled by the woke mind virus."

"I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that... and we are making some progress."

Thats not how linux commands work. He's such a try hard at pretending to be a nerd. He so wants nerd credit. Remember how he claimed to be like top 20 in the world at Diablo and that he is top 10 in the world at path of exile2. Which when I heard these claims, immediately knew he was full of crap. Why? Because try hard sweaty nerds have to play 16 hours a day to maintain a rank like that.

Anyway, he's been fully exposed for lying and buying chinese boosters to play his accounts and earn the ranks he brags about. What a total loser.

Do you think Telsa has been plagued in manufacturing capability and cash resources and a huge work force?

1) The did have problems in manufacturing many years ago but those issues have largely been solved. In fact, they are coming out with a new unboxed manufacturing process that they think will allow them to deliver cars at a much cheaper price in the future.

2) They have plenty of Cash. As of 03/2024 they have $27 Billion cash

3) You think a huge work force with a lot of legacy costs is a good thing? How about robotics which can reduce the cost of labor, that would be a good thing.
Where’d they get all that cash? Here’s a hint, it wasn’t car sales

The company wouldn’t exist without the handouts he’s already gotten. He’s admitted as much many times. Now that he runs an efficiency program for the government he has the chance to abolish EV and carbon credits. I can’t wait to see how it goes

Elon makes a great product. Actually, he makes several great products. And he makes them here in America.

Don't blame Elon for taking advantage of stupid policy. Be mad at the people who made stupid policy.

Of course Elon is trying to get to the correct policy in the end, which is no government subsidies for anyone. The government doesn't have any business meddling in the car industry. Very simple, let the best car win.

I’d bet you on this, but we know how you are
