FPOTUS Trump attempted assassination…

MAGA stands for Make America Great Again. Why wouldn't anyone want to make America great again? Unless you're a terrorist, you should want to make us great. Think of all the people we could help if we were truly a great nation firing on all cylinders. There is a reason that the flight attendants demonstrate to all passengers that in the unlikely event of a crash or loss of cabin pressure, you put your own oxygen mask on first, then you help others.

I understand people's distaste in Trump's personality, but, it's hard to understand why people don't like his policies. It's even harder to understand why people don't want to make our country great.
You believe the lies and dismiss the truth at your own peril. Trump will come for millions of his own voters too.

You are such a disingenuous, lying, shill. What he actually said was that things will be so good after he is in office for 4 years, that there will not be a need to vote again. NOT that there won't be more elections. At least find out what he said for yourself instead of sewing far left misinformation from the dem party.

Below is his quote- from CNN:

"In four years, you don’t have to vote again — we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.”
My guess as to what Trump was saying (poorly probably) is that this will be the last time you'll need to vote for him. In four years the swamp will be drained and he won't be needed any longer. Vance or many other capable Republicans will be able to carry on protecting the country from the tyrany we keep seeing in this current "administration" or "deep state".

There is no need to guess. Why do y'all feel there is always a need to interpret what he's saying? Take it at face value.

It also predicts that person will come from Europe/Asia. I think that might rule Trump out. It also leaves the US out of the final battle because we have crumbled from within. Likely due to allowing too many illegals and having to deal with the reverse racism that exists today. America will implode, it’s just a matter of time and the more liberals we elect the sooner it will happen.

So you really think he could change to the president can stay in office as long as he wants

Trump is certainly no prophet, false or otherwise. Who, beyond some possible obscure, lunatic fringe is even advancing this claptrap?

And, are we now onto pure politics? If so, maybe it's time for @Cris_Ard to move this thread?

if his administration implements Project 2025 the way it's hoping to, it will pave the way for a federal government that rubber stamps everything he decrees. I don't know if he'll be able to pull it off, but I do know he'll burn the country to the ground trying.

It's already moved, brother 🍻

His entire maga base is quite insistent that he was sent by God to save America. Not hyperbole either. They mean it literally.

Edit - If you don't believe me, ask @areeves.

This cracks me up. Do you really think his actions and behavior since the last election reveal a leader who wants to make this country great? He is the most divisive, corrupt politician in American history and it's not even close - he's in a league of his own in that regard. You should be ashamed of falling for such a decitful slogan that has no resemblance to the facts we already know about him and his plans to re-make America great for himself only.

That was completely my point. It is perfectly clear what he is actually saying, but shills like you just make up complete bs and ignore what he actually said. You are simply dishonest.

Also, I am not a maga. There were multiple other candidates I would have chosen over trump.
If what he says is always so perfectly clear, why does it always have to re-interpreted through an orange filter? We already know he's crazy, he's proven it, so how do you get to a place where you see his most bombastic statements as sensible and innocent?

Entire MAGA-base, huh? 🤔 I know of at least a few dozen personally for whom this is most definitely not true.

One's faith journey is inherently personal, so who knows what one really thinks? I can say that from the standpoint of my Church and the Southern Baptist Convention that it is member of, such is most definitely NOT the case and would be roundly condemned, if it were. My church is apolitical and routinely prays for the safety and discernment of all America's leaders, past present and future.

So let's summarize just what Project 25 espouses so we can engage on specifics:

Project 2025 outlines four main aims in Mandate for Leadership: restoring the family as the centerpiece of American life; dismantling the administrative state; defending the nation's sovereignty and borders; and securing God-given individual rights to live freely.
So....
1) restoring the family as the centerpiece of American life
2) Dismantling the administrative state
3) Defending the nation's sovereignty and borders
4) Securing God-given individual rights to live freely

Is this really all that radical? Maybe you don't trust the people behind it, and that's fair. I don't either. I fully intend to watch them closely and do my part to hold them accountable. We all should.

I don't always think his statements are sensible. He says plenty of stupid stuff. I don't think he is particularly smart, btw. However, when shills like you just repeat asinine bs that has no foundation in truth, you obviously need someone to explain it to you.

He clearly states he expects other countries to live up to their financial obligation if they want us to continue to support nato as well and people like you immediately say he wants to get out of nato. Which is moronic given the fact he did not pursue that when he was potus and had the opportunity.

He says there will be a bloodbath in the auto industry and you immediately imply he means he will lead some type of violent civil war if he is not elected.

There are countless examples. You don't need and orange filter. Just reasonable intelligence and comprehension skills.

Are they true hard-core maga or are they just solidly Trump voters? I'm only referring to January 6th criminal types when I say maga.

Look, man. I have read the thing in great detail. The devil is in the details, and not the overview summary. You believe whatever you want, and I'm glad you're wary of them. But I know what the document says down in the depths, and I know what the people who wrote it believe. And unless you get fully on board with them after they take over, you'll keep a watchful eye all the way to the 21st century equivalent of the gas chamber.

I don't care how crazy and alarmist that sounds at this point. We're 100 days from the election that could see Trump and his magas become the Nazis on steroids.

Yes it is. If they are January 6th types then they almost certainly do believe he was literally sent by God to save America. If they aren't January 6th types, they probably don't. Does that clear it up? Maybe I'm not explaining it right.

What he did his first go around when he had guardrails and a re-election campaign as his top priority, has no bearing on what he will do when he has neither. When he lost, he tried every corrupt trick in the book to remain in power so reasonable intelligence and comprehension skills tell us he'll be even worse when he removes all the roadblocks that kept him from acting on his plans. Plus, we have the accounts of first-hand witnesses who have told us that he means it. It's despicable the way he publicly talks about our allies while coddling up to world's worst dictators. You're a fool if you think he can be trusted at this point.

you mean the way the 95% democratic federal swamp is doing today for liberals?

So what guardrails has joe taken away while he was potus that were in place when trump was potus?

Wow. You don't think that's a bit over the top? Don't you think this is the kind of hyperbole that drives one into irrational action? You can with a whatever verb you chose, but I think we all know what I am referring to.

Moving on....

So, on just the point about ending the administrative state, how does one march folks to the gas chamber without substantial administrative control? Is it your contention this all just a head fake?

Yeah, that's my contention. Was I not clear about that in my previous post where I said the devil is in the details and NOT in the 4 summary bullet points?

I'm doing such a poor job of communicating this afternoon it would seem.

I'm not engaging in hyperbole. You seem like you just want to refuse to accept that I really do mean what I'm saying, as sincerely as anyone can mean anything.

What an innocent, sanitized version of the plan you have. Have you considered what it means by dismantling the administrative state? It means replacing tens of thousands of federal employeees with maga loyalists who are currently being vetted with a litmus test question that asks them if they believe the 2020 election was stolen. It means a cabinet full of loyal ghouls who won't stand in the way of his revengeful plans and he's even stated he wants to move 100,000 federal employees to maga-land in Texas/Oklahoma. You might love that if your interest in politics revolves around owning the libs but that's not good for anyone except Trump himself and could have ugly unforeseen consequences down the road.

WHAT ARE THE PROJECT'S MAIN PROPOSALS?

Project 2025's policy suggestions range in topic from foreign affairs to education.
Among other things, Project 2025 proposes enforcing laws that make it illegal to mail abortion pills over state lines, criminalizing pornography and eliminating the Department of Education.
The project also advocates a sweeping elimination of environmental regulations and a crackdown on programs to boost diversity in the workplace, which the project argues are broadly illegal.
The project also calls for a broad expansion in presidential power by boosting the number of political appointees and increasing the president's authority over the Justice Department. That last proposal has spooked many law enforcement officials, who say it will undermine the department's ability to conduct investigations without political interference.

  • Project 2025 echoes Donald Trump’s critical view of the media. As a result, it proposes to strip public broadcasting of its funding and legal status, thus endangering access to reliable news for American citizens.
  • The authors allege that Big Tech colluded with the government to attack American values and advance “wokeism.” In response, they envision sweeping antitrust enforcement not on economic grounds, but for socio-political reasons.
  • On artificial intelligence policy, Project 2025 remains vague and fails to propose solutions for key policy areas such as privacy, safety, and the information ecosystem. Lagging on AI oversight and dismantling existing protections is dangerous for individuals and democracies alike.

You 'said' it was in the details....so I scored it down to entice you to expound on said details. You don't like or trust the folks over at the Heritage Foundation. Okay. Good. I don't trust think tanks and the people behind them either. But they are not technically behind the levers of power either. They are proxies, at best (just like Soros and his ilk,)...and rather ineffective ones at that (unlike Soros and his ilk) given the recent tragectory of things within the scope of their summary points.

Anyway, I am trying to understand what you are so threatened by what is otherwise pretty mainstream (aka populist) views?
