I am not sure I get your point but I decided to make some calls and ask people who might have some information and based on what I am hearing I have decided to give it a few days for more people who are in the know to make public. Comments.

Fortunately, this case is in court and will hopefully be the first blow in turning back this tide of using the DoJ as a tool of oppression and suppression. You say Trump's authoritarian, I say look in the damn mirror. Our civil liberties have been trampled for over 20 years now. It's time to stop this madness and shrink the federal code and federal level of law enforcement by about 80%. That being said, this required a Judge to agree to a warrant, the FBI is headed up by a Trump appointee, and we don't know what they are searching for.

Some stuff coming out today suggesting the FBI violated a few terms of the warrant during the raid. They wouldn't allow Trump's attorneys to remain in the house during the search, you're not permitted to open a safe onsite but are permitted to take them into custody and have the owner open them, they demanded that the security cameras be shut off during the raid. The reason they went with a search warrant instead of a subpoena is it removes the 4th amendment as protection in regards to lawful search/seize and discovery. Subpoena's have to be very specific as to what you're after, search warrants are wide open blanket permission to search and seize anything in the house.
Trump also has a history of not following subpoenas and it is reasonable to assume that he would eliminate/hide incriminating evidence. Again,this had to be approved by a judge and the FBI director is a Trump appointee.
It continues to surprise me that Trump personally appointed all these people who suddenly became "Deep State". He must suck at vetting potential hires.
The warrant was sealed. I could be off on this but my understanding is that a judge has to unseal it before it can be disclosed publicly, I might have read that wrong and maybe it just restricts the judge/prosecutors from stating the purpose publicly?
I can't imagine the FBI can serve a warrant on a former president without the direction coming from the DOJ.

And I will say it again. At any point Trump could specify exactly what the warrant is for and clarify it. It would be a easy way for him to quickly get ahead of this he hasn’t. Instead he is crying about “planted evidence”. Any reasonable person has to see that something ain’t right there.
