Some people on here need to read the Constitution.
It's hard to tell there are any resrictions going on in the upstate other than not being able to get a haircut or sit down wherever you want to eat. I don't see why those businesses get singled out when everywhere else is slammed packed. If Wal Mart, Target,Lowes,Home Depot etc can manage safely I'm sure small business can.
As far as people reporting, there are a ton of people on furlough enjoying a free spring vacation enjoying nice weather and not feeling the urge to go back just yet. Have heard many people say they hope they don't have to go back for at least a few weeks. Others that need get their business going should be able to tho.

Yep, as I said before, I took an oath when I joined the army to protect this nation, and this democracy, and I spent nine (9) years doing so under that oath, and I would take to the streets if necessary to fight any socialist, fascist, or commie bastard to do so. Had an officer come through the parking lot at Stonebridge golf course Mineral springs, NC a couple weekends ago. Probably 6 to 8 of us drinking a beer out of the back of the cars and talking. He didnt say much and was nice. We were trying to keep the six degrees of separation. We all had open containers, so was a little surprised he really sd nothing.
Do you know what furloughed means? My brother and sister in law at furloughed till November. That means they don’t get paid. It isn’t a ****ing vacation.
I don’t get your point? In most cases it means companies hold their job, pays their insurance, and they collect $937/week unemployment in SC. So yeah, a lot of these people are treating it as PTO.

Contracts aren’t relevant if our central planners say they aren’t relevant. Plenty of property owners are banned by law to collect rent right now.
Are they banned from collecting rent or are they banned from evicting? I honestly don't know. I view it as while people may not pay a month or two of rent, it is still due.
I dont really care, just thinking about it. If I am a landlord and i have the choice of missing 2 months rent or finding a new tenant ..... i miss the two months rent. Hopefully people work it out on their own. But if it goes to court, i think the contracts state the rent is due, doubtful there was an exclusion for a pandemic. Not a lawyer either. ha

Yes to all that. I would hope most people make more than $1000 a week though. You're probably not "vacationing" on a pay cut. You're also still paying taxes on that $937 come next year on that money that's being given to you.
