No more excuses - if you want to control the flow of fentanyl, shut down the border and give the border agents the help they're desperately asking for, pass the damn bill. So, right now, there is a law on the books that Biden can use to immediately suspend the illegals coming across our border.
Don't give me the line about them needing to pass a new bill chock-full of work permits to secure our border.

By him not doing it tells me the President is not running the country. He has claimed for three years the border was secure and not open. Last week when asked about the border he now claims it is open and has not been secure for 10 years . Do the math three of those 10 years was when Obama was President and Biden was VP. In 2018, there were an estimated 22 million illegals in the country. Trump wrote very aggressive asylum laws, visa laws, immigration in general laws in to bills in 2016 which slowed the process, especially in making them citizens. Fast forward to Biden's term and the goal from day 1 is to expand the orgs, judges etc that can process the illegals into legal citizens. You'll note, our actual structured methods for coming to the United States legally hasn't actually changed. It takes twice as long to get a Visa for a PHD candidate as an example (we've been waiting 16 months for 2) so no real change around allowing smart people that actually follow the laws to come here.
The largest delta the country has ever seen in a presidential election was in 1984 where Regan won by 17m votes against Mondale. If those 22m (now likely more than 30m) illegals are instantly made citizens, you've just likely turned at least 75% of the 30m into blue voters. This would start with local elections (see NYC as an example) and as they fast track them to citizenship, it would include federal elections.
You can't really think that mass immigration, or unchecked entry is remotely good for a nation. Especially if you largely support the following:
-Radical climate change and the need to protect resources, move to sustainable energy, etc
-Extreme covid policies like forced vaccination, social distancing and masking
-Free or affordable health care (that is actually available)
-Affordable or even available housing, welfare, govt assistance
-Education funding
-Low crime rates
30m people, likely of lower economic means and coming from lower economic countries, break everything above. Especially in a country that is so incredibly and dangerously close to being insolvent while American citizens struggle more and more everyday. Once the free stuff runs out, which it will and once they can't push more tax burden onto the public, some if not most will turn to crime for survival. That also includes American families who live off of govt support as they are going to be impacted also as they all compete for limited resources.
The border situation is not overblown and this notion that Bidens/Dems are being hamstrung by the right is nonsense. Biden killed all of the laws Trump put in to stop it and Dems and Biden have said they will not vote for and or will veto, a bill that stops asylum and mass flows of people coming across. The Dems want to bake into the bill tens of billions for Ukraine and Israel (which also means Palestine) while only allocating $14b to the border, all of which would go to processing illegals faster, not restricting their entry. There simply isn't a scenario where this isn't about blue votes.
The average American citizen regardless of party affiliation, needs to be all over their state reps to end this now.

Nothing is needed. No new bills, no new executive orders. Just enforce the laws we have. Joe Biden won't do it and the polls show that the large majorty of americans blame him for our problems.
After we enforce the laws we have to get stability, we can work on comprehensive immigration reform. This must include a plan to deport illegal alien's that are here. If deportation is not on the table then nothing is on the table.

That has been a law since 1952. It was intended not to give the president broad scope to shut down immigration. It was so intended to shut down immigration to specific groups who were defined as:
1. Affiliation with a group; or
2. Objectionable conduct.
Presidents have traditionally used it selectively to shut down immigration to certain groups. Reagan used it to shut down immigration from Haiti. bunker boy used it to shut down immigration during covid. Every time it has been used, a flurry of court cases are filed to challenge it.
If Biden used it to completely shut down immigration, then there would be so many court cases shoved up his ass within a few days and he would likely lose many of them. He cant just "stroke his pen" and do it. Remember when he stroked his pen to forgive student loan debt? Didnt work out, did it?

It's either 8500 per day, or 5000 averaged over 7 days. I would expect that daily number to be hit on the first day if there is actually an invasion occurring at the border like everyone on the right is proclaiming.
