Speaker of the House - Who's up next? Welcome, Rep Mike Johnson - Louisiana

The elections were interfered with in multiple ways, not just voting. The Governemnet (FBI) colluded with big tech to censor speech related to republicans (see twitter files). 51 intelligence agents intentionally signed a fake letter with the sole purpse to help elect Biden. These sham prosections against Trump are elections interference.

I would agree that we should do whatever we can to 1) Make voting as easy as possible and 2) Make sure there is one vote per US citizen. I find it hard to believe that requiring an ID is onerous. Not long ago democrats (and maybe some uniparty pubs) were telling us we had to have vaccine passports to go into a grocery store. If you can require someone to go get a shot, you can require someone to go get an ID. Not that different imo.
Simple…. If he was so great in his 1st term, all the external noise wouldn’t matter.

Sure there is plenty of nonsense in the ecosystem, but Trump is his own worst enemy.

The fact, as of right now that Biden and Trump are the going concern to be president of United States next year is an indictment on the entire US population. It’s pathetic that were even considering either of them shame on the Republicans and Democrats supporting these guys.

Definitely wish we could get some younger candidates.

You can. But yourself and others need to put the crack pipe down and put the United States of America first. Only deplorable people want the worst opposing candidate to run against your own. When you should want a great candidate in the Democratic and Republican party because if and when you lose, that’s your president of the United States.

For example, I’d much rather have Gavin Newsom as president United States then Joe Biden. I’d much rather have Nikki Haley as president United States, then Donald Trump.

We have to serve the people, not we the ****ing party. But continue on with your jabs and these other idiots in this thread because you think you’re ****ing cool when you’re a bunch a selfish losers bent on selfish gains and constant division.

But division is how politicians make their money. And resident losers stoke the flames to take advantage of people and the systems cause you’re too ****ing weak to do the right thing.

Once again, our resident mouth-breather has a complete misunderstanding about what the "51 intelligence agents" said. It's hard to take anything you say seriously when you're so blatantly misrepresenting the facts.

What is the right thing? Vote third party?

Vote your conscience. Vote for the USA.

As much as I despise Matt Gaetz, agreements were made. McCarthy chose to break them and here we are.

I’m not thrilled about how we got here but it’s time to stop the grift on the American people and our money. Quit outright crying every time something doesn’t go your way. Quit playing the victim. Quit cancelling people. Bury the proper bullies. Disagree with your party when a policy sucks. Give a shit beyond your party. Work together.
If the parties are so great, perform like it. Quit performing in a reality show where the goal is appear less worse than the other guy.

Have some fvckin standards. Dont change the dress code for 1 guy. 99 people can choose respect, the other guy is an adult who can make his own choice.

How many people should cross the border in a month? Have a standard. Communicate to the public. You fired people for not taking a vaccine or wearing a mask. But 1000s coming here illegally daily, whatever.

Serve the people, the taxpayer who pays the bills. Quit mocking them every day that 2 old men riddled with old age and tons of controversy is the best we can do.

And just like that you fell right into the trap that Gaetz set. I can't believe you're unwilling to see the reality. Gaetz is counting on people like you to cover what he did. They torpedoed McCarthy's attempts to keep his promises so that he would have to break his promises to prevent a shutdown. Then they use the same method they felt was so horrendous that he had to be removed a Speaker in order to actually remove him as Speaker. You can't make this stuff up and it is so disheartening to see other conservatives not realize just how horrendous what happened was.

This was the most conservative Speaker of the House since Gingrich. He had a lot of victories and did a lot of good things. Consider if you will that we just voted out the speaker when he had 96% support from Republicans in the House. And to that you say it was deserved? Good Lord....

51 intelligence agents, 51 intelligence agents.... do you have this statement saved so you can copy and paste? You have stated that hundreds of times and no matter how many times it has been pointed out that all they did was give an opinion that the info sounded like Russian Disinformation. That's not fraud, there's nothing weird or improper

This is a very inaccurate assessment of what happened. Albeit unsurprising. Your high horse morality only goes in one direction. That much is abundantly evident in your posting history.

I’ll take the reduced spending option thanks. Already pay the 37% tier plus SS, Medicare, Medicare surcharge, lost exemptions and state and local taxes. I think that’s plenty.

I agree 100% about cutting/reducing spending . I would first start back up Bill Clinton's program " welfare to work " Clinton's program was if you are able to work and receiving welfare the government paid the cost for said person to attend a 2 year Tech school. After 2 years said person could no longer receive welfare.

Secure the boarder... I have no problem with immigration if they come through the port of entry and properly vetted. Must remain in Mexico until a spot opens up.

Photo ID required on all EBT cards . I see drug head's locally selling their cards all the time for 50 cents on the dollar. I am sure this is a U.S. issue.

Stop / reduce the funds going to Ukraine. Make European countries step up to the plate.

Cut out Medicaid to people who are able to work. No sure if it's a state or federal issue but I know single parent's who are able to receive Medicaid because their minor children receives it. ( make biological parents ) work. Again "welfare to work program " would help with this.

Stop the BS free phone if you receive a EBT card.

Welfare/ social programs should be for people on disability.

I feel we are at the cross road it's either cut back on all spending or raise taxes up to 40 to 45 % for individual tax payers. Once the tax rates reach 40 to 45% the U.S. will become a socialist country.

Tell Biden to stick the student loan forgiveness up his ass .

Imo....

That's literally what happened wrt the "51 intelligence agents."

The letter from the 51 former intelligence officials came out in the days leading up to the 2020 presidential election, warning that reporting about the laptop’s alleged contents “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” Although the signees stressed they did not know if emails being reported at the time were genuine and they insisted they had no evidence of Russian involvement, the letter was nevertheless used to dismiss the laptop and its provenance.

He doesn't like me cause I called bullshit on his incredibly inaccurate thoughts and assumptions about Public Education.

Also, Iprovided facts and proof, and he provided walls of text that basically said " but, that's what I've heard".

He also hates that I called him out for spreading stories as facts that were untrue. One example is his statement that a local school in Georgia had allowed a student to use a litter box who identified as a "furry". Completely untrue and he had to admit that with his take between his legs

I don't dislike him, but he seems to hate my feelings and facts about public education. I never personally attack him, but you've seen what he said about me.

And then what happened? What were the net effects via what is now well documented government influence of social media and other mediums?

I don't hate you at all. I just think you're a lemming. Also, everything else you said is comical at best. You always point in one direction, but then claim to be fair. I don't have a lot of interest and discussions with someone like that. You're also very ill-informed.

I have no issue with your feelings about public education. You're more than welcome to have any feeling you like. The problem is when you try to start calling it facts. You ignore everything that is going on around us in favor of what you want to see. That's a problem.

Your post about this is just dripping with your usual mania. Your constant misrepresentation of what I have said in the past and the fact that I did get something wrong related to that topic is ridiculous. I admitted I was wrong and you still use that against me. At that time, I reported something that was said to me and I was in error not knowing directly what happened which is 100% my fault. I am accountable to my own rules and in that case, I broke them and it was a mistake. The question is why you're still on that bent years later when I had previously admitted I was mistaken and apologized? Pretty pathetic to say the least and quite revealing of your character as well.

If we started the list all the things that you've gotten wrong in your past we'd be here a long time. I guess the lesson here is don't admit you're wrong. We see plenty of that on the board which is part of why I almost never post here anymore. There are much more fertile and interesting grounds to farm and learn from.

The problem is all the things you listed would accomplish very little. These are not major drivers of our debt. No one wants to talk about those things and they won't talk about them until the eventual insolvency of all these programs reaches critical mass. And by then it will be too late to fix them.

So tell me what I've gotten wrong?

I am glad to admit that I was wrong when I am. You love to paint with a broad brush and I object to that. I believe most topics have nuance.

I do agree with you that most things have a great deal of nuance to them. But here's where you seem unwilling to contemplate public education. It isn't nuanced. It is, by definition, a broad brush operation. When we have state standards, national standards or whatever kind of standard you would like to discuss, that's board brush. So addressing a broad brush endeavor with a broad brush assessment is entirely acceptable.

As a person that serves regularly in a Title 1 school, I get pretty damn irritated about this because we're not giving a chance to these beautiful kids that way that we need to. We're not looking at the problems and addressing them the way we need to and lives are being impacted in very negative ways because of that. Yes, I admit to being quite emotional about that. We spend a freaking fortune on education and get painfully little in return for those that need it most. In the area of government waste, public education ranks very high on that list by nearly every measure.

As per the rest, you like to demonize people of faith for supporting Trump yet you seem unable to recognize that as Godless as Trump is (and he is indeed that) the other side is no better and in many ways, worse. There's no moral safe harbor for people in these instances. We're all stuck choosing the wrong that's least wrong these days. Both sides claim the moral high ground yet they both endeavor to drag us into the abyss. You know I dislike Trump as much as you do but I also recognize that even in this election, he may be the wrong that's least wrong and that's saying something because he's the worst person I have ever voted for in my life. I won't do that this time regardless of what happens but I did the last two times and I regret it. Like you said, there's more nuance to it but you choose to paint with a broad brush only in one direction. That's incredibly disingenuous.

What happened was Politico misinterpreted the letter and said it supported the idea of Russian collusion. Your issue is with politico misinterpreting (and later retracting and clarifying) the letter the agents signed.

The agents didn’t say there was Russian collusion, which fastball alluded to, and yoshi and myself knew was inaccurate.

My issue was you saying we should eliminate all public schools since some were failing. I pointed out that My wife's former schools and district, which is extremely poor was performing tremendously well. We need to see what those schools are doing and apply that. For example, Anderson School District one is the second best district in the entire state based on last year's testing. My wife's school just had their entire fourth grade have 100% of their students achieve or exceed projected progress. This is the first time in state history that every single kid, no matter what level, no matter what trauma or financial situation, they all performed.

I know that we fail in some instances. But we have successes as well.

As far as Trump, I don't agree that the other candidates are as bad as he is. My problem is the Religious, single issue voters who excuse his moral depravity because he would help them eliminate Abortion.

And the NY Post story was blacked out. It was labeled throughout the media as Russian disinformation and Twitter and other social media platforms banned the story. It's been demonstrated clearly the government was seeking to influence these kinds of stories at that time.

My view on public education and elimination of the current system is purely an opinion. One I still hold. I have a fundamental disagreement on many levels with the very idea of this kind of public education. My view in this area is something that will almost certainly never happen.

Noting the very apparent failure of many public schools makes a different point. Congrats on the testing accomplishment. I don't really subscribe to that kind of stuff but it is a metric society uses and that is a noteworthy success story. You're welcome to disagree with my views. I'm not claiming I am right. I am only claiming that's how I feel about things based on extensive experience. If you're willing to recognize it's an educated opinion based on experience that you think is full of crap, that is fine with me.

Trump is not out to eliminate abortion. He has clearly stated as much because he called the Florida ban after 6 weeks very bad. If someone is dumb enough to think he wants to eliminate abortion, that's on them. I would never support a pro-abortion candidate under any circumstances.

That being said, you probably should look a bit deeper because the moral depravity is 1000 miles wide across the board and it's also 1000 miles deep. This isn't a party issue. In fact, it's Americans blind loyalty to party that has given us the worst group of people imaginable to vote for at almost every level of government. In this thread, we see both sides of that blindness on display. It's tragic and destructive and we'll eventually pay a terrible price for it. President Washington warned us about this and we have chosen to disregard his warnings. Most unfortunate for us!

You mean a story about a hard drive that only slimy agents of Biden's opponent (Bannon, Giuliani) had access to at the time? Why would anyone trust a story like that, coming from those two ghouls, right before the election? That's not election interference, that's called exercising caution.

Also, Twitter did not BAN the story. They did what any responsible media would do and they took a couple days to discuss how they should responsibly address the issue.

The government was Trump's administration at that time.

Holy sh*tballs, if his re-election hinged on a laptop story that didn't implicate Joe in any wrongdoing, then he deserved to lose the election, period.

Yep.

The twitter files also revealed trump's white house was contacting twitter to suppress stories and remove tweets as well, but they don't talk about that.

Someone should tell him the White House was in Trump's hands at the time. The Biden team only asked that they remove pics of Hunter's junk.

If the government was a fortune 500 the pubs on the far right would have been shit canned. You guys have elected morons wirh no goals other than obstruction

You're absolutely wrong about this. Twitter suspended the New York post account and stated that they would not allow posts with the story linked. And to your point about the other officials who had access to the information keep in mind that the FBI also knew about it and they would not confirm that this was an actual investigation. That was all covered up and they allowed the Russia disinformation hoax to float. At least admit the truth when trying to refute something.

This isn't about whether or not his re-election hinged on that. It's about the fact that biden's corruption has consistently been covered over. It's also about the disparate treatment that one side gets versus the other in the media. This is an irrefutable fact based on mountains of evidence. We should all want one standard for everyone. Our nation has spent so much of its checkered history trying to overcome the disparate treatment of marginalized groups whether they be for racial, gender, political, or cultural reasons. Anything to that effect that occurs is wrong and should be called out by all decent Americans. Hell all decent people.

I think Trump is the reason a lot of people have grievances.

We are supposed to be a government of We The People. He won the election over Hillary fair and square but he was hamstrung by the government itself when it was his turn to govern. Love him or hate him our government should be designed so that whoever wins the election gets their fair shot to govern. That was never given to Trump.

Do we really have a country if those elected are being sabotaged by the government itself? Are those people really represented if the person they elected is not allowed to govern?

Trump was being illegally spied upon and sabotaged the day he declared his intention to run for president and it has continued to this day.

Personally, I think Trump is kind of an asshole, a little narcissistic and has plenty of faults. That being said, he loves this country, and he won the election and never was given his chance to govern. That's not what this country represents and I think that is why you see him getting the support he has.

Give him his chance to govern uninterrupted and then send him on his merry way. But the bullshit has to stop. We The People are not being represented and you are seeing an attempt to take that back.

I don't think Trump cares at all about this country. Trump only cares about Trump. He only wants to be president for the power it can give him.

The New York Post has never been considered a highly reputable source and they got their information from the two ghouls I referenced earlier, so Twitter wisely decided to block the story because it was unverified and violated their hacked materials policy. They were a private company and had every right to do so but if we're going to tell the whole truth, let's also state that they reversed their policy and unblocked the Post before the election. Additionally, the Federal Election Commission ruled that Twitter didn't violate federal election law by blocking the story AND no link was ever established between the Biden campaign and Twitter's decision.

What no one talks about is FoxNews also decided not to run the story for the same reason that Twitter hedged. Why haven't they taken a beating in conservative circles? Could it be because they were considered to be pro-Trump? Regardless, they still deemed that the story reeked of disinformation suspiciously timed a couple weeks out from the election. Just because it was revealed to be true retroactively doesn't mean that news organizations didn't have good reason to doubt it's veracity in the moment.

"Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani apparently first approached Fox News with the trove of emails he claims came from Hunter Biden’s laptop, but the network passed on the story over credibility concerns, per a report by Mediaite. According to Mediaite’s sources, “the lack of authentication of Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop, combined with established concerns about Giuliani as a reliable source and his desire for unvetted publication, led the network’s news division to pass.” The network’s so-called Brain Room, for its part, has warned Fox News hosts that Giuliani has a reputation for “amplifying disinformation.”

And I'm calling bullshit on Biden's "corruption" being covered over as they've been investigating him, the laptop and Hunter ever since - they even have special counsels looking into both of them but so far they've come up with NADA! ZERO! ZILCH! that implicates Joe in a crime. Just because you want him to be found corrupt doesn't make him so.

It's laughable that conservatives are still using this ridiculous red herring to explain Trump's loss. If he couldn't win without this story being a thing, he sure as hell shouldn't have won because of it. What a sad day when people actually believe that a story that didn't implicate Joe in any crimes, should have been the reason he lost. Insanity!

They knew they were lying. The hunter laptop was already verified. It was election interference and fraud perpetrated by US intelligence assets.

BS!!!!!!! I hope you are not that dense. Its already been conclusively proven they were using intentional deception.

Yep.

The twitter files also revealed trump's white house was contacting twitter to suppress stories and remove tweets as well, but they don't talk about that.

Because its a BS story with no truth. Twitter wouldnt have helped them anyway if they tried.

Like everythibg you post, You just "know" right? No need for actual evidence. It's far easier for you to believe that 51 of your fellow Americans, risked their reputations to hurt one guy.
Its been well documented but you have tunnel vision or you would know it.

Matt Gaetz should run for speaker. But he doesn't want to lead, he wants to sit in the background and bitch. Mr Hair gel and just a handful of other Republicans voted with the squad.

YUP!!! trump doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself. He would literally throw anyone under the bus to save his ass. And on top of that he's the biggest RINO of the bunch.

Take it up with the Jim Jordan House Judiciary Investigation as that whole excerpt I provided was pulled from their release. Unless, of course, you think Jim Jordan is also anti-Trump, in which case, cool man.
