If the question is whether Democrats thought she was the "best" option, there would be some that would disagree with any of the choices he could have made, but that's the choice he wanted so that's all that matters.

In case you didn't notice, there are many in the maga party who would have preferred that Trump choose Tulsi Gabbard or Nikki Haley but he preferred JD Vance.
