@treetiger you just made your own case to vote for Donald J Trump. Proud of you my man!I am not an ardent Trump supporter, I did not vote for him, I actually could not vote for anyone 3 years ago, so I chose not to vote. I am considering casting my vote this time, maybe even for Trump. He's not my favorite person, but damn is he cleaning up that mess.
I have watch MANY State of the Union addresses, I that one my be the best that I have seen, maybe even better than Ronald Reagan. I am stunned at looking at all the sour faced Democrats who were scowling at things such as jobs for minorities and women, and making the American economy the greatest in the world. Do they hate Donald Trump so much that they hate America too??? It sure looks like that!
People who dislike trump don't hate America just like those that disliked Obama or Bush or Clinton and so on don't hate America. The fact that in the current discourse that such accusations are now made of your fellow American because you disagree with them is disappointing.I am not an ardent Trump supporter, I did not vote for him, I actually could not vote for anyone 3 years ago, so I chose not to vote. Give him a tax breakHe should pay Dabo a royalty check.
You nailed it. Democrats don’t want people working they want them dependent on government.I am not an ardent Trump supporter, I did not vote for him, I actually could not vote for anyone 3 years ago, so I chose not to vote. No matter who the President is, when facts are stated about the economy thriving and all of these individuals gaining employment, and still some people sit there and pout and act pissed off is ridiculous. If you don’t agree with a policy or stance on something that’s fine. However, those facts are things that all Americans should be happy for regardless of which side of the aisle you sitPeople who dislike trump don't hate America just like those that disliked Obama or Bush or Clinton and so on don't hate America. Yeap 2 of a kindThis thread is about how great Clemson football is right now that a very successful President would quote our head coach in the State of the Union Address.

I think it mostly comes from the idea that this President is taking a lot of credit for trends that just continued from the last administration to this one. So while the numbers he touts are real (and I certainly agree they should make all Americans happy) it is frustrating to watch Republicans take credit for numbers that a few years ago they rolled their eyes at.No matter who the President is, when facts are stated about the economy thriving and all of these individuals gaining employment, and still some people sit there and pout and act pissed off is ridiculous. Unemployment, for example, has been on a steady decline for 9 years. There's no sudden shift or change when this President took office, the trend simply continued.
Republicans love to brag about growth, and the economy has certainly grown. But where was this celebration when Obama's growth numbers were higher in 2014 and 2015? In truth, the economy has just simply continued to grow. People on this board love to post when the dow has a record day, but didn't post a single time when the dow had record days 117 times under Obama.
The number of people using food stamps, again, was trending downward in the final years under President Obama. So that trend continued. President Trump of course did restrict access to food stamps through changes in regulations which has resulted in accelerated drop offs. I don't necessarily argue that that's a bad thing, but again it comes back to the truth in his argument. He's saying so many people are off food stamps because the economy is amazing, but that's a partial truth.
So that's where the frustration is - he talks about how awful the economy was under President Obama even as he stands on that economy's shoulders.
Now, to be sure, the hypocrisy on both sides has gotten to be vomit inducing as has the complete and total intellectual dishonesty in Washington. But this President is the king of intellectual dishonesty.
Can you provide any evidence that what I said was factually inaccurate?I know where you have been for the last 3 years, heck last 10 years (see below). About everything about this is factually and morally wrong. You Socialists have been pushing this same agenda for years, George Bush's accomplishments were extensions of Clinton. Donald Trumps accomplishments are an extension of Obama. The only one you know you cant say (although you may try) is Ronald Reagan's accomplishments were an extension of Jimmy Carter. You people are the environmental wackos but still cannot see the forest for the trees...
There is a whole in the sand in Saudi Arabia that has your name on it...take the next flight out...

Economy is better than it has been in decades. I don’t talk politics much but the last administration had our economy crippledI was cursing at the TV (CBS News) when the guest speaker was saying that Donald Trump hasn't really done anything for the economy but "maintain" what Obama had done. Good gracious. How can ANYONE be so stupid??? It is the stupid biased haters of this country like that that need to flee to Mexico, Honduras, and Venezuela for asylum!!!
I don't understand that narrative. The economy grew more under that admin than it has under the current. What was crippled?Economy is better than it has been in decades. I don’t talk politics much but the last administration had our economy crippled
Can you provide any evidence that what I said was factually inaccurate?
Well just on your statement on unemployment, I can factually state is untrue. During Obama's admin, they removed people who had given up looking for a job from the statistics to make the % look better. FACT!
I firmly believe that Clemson’s success NOW is a trend that Tommy West should be thanked for and commended
If not for his guidance and leadership we would not be where we are today

did trump add those people back to report his own numbers? I doubt it.
Trump has added 7M net jobs, taken millions off of food stamps and welfare. It's not rocket science. You'll see it when Trump triples the percentage of the African American vote he got in '16.
what he wrote was morally wrong? Your drivel continues to amaze me.
Yes, because lying is wrong. Maybe not in your house?
