i think what @yoshi121374 was saying, and please correct me if i'm wrong yoshi, was that he is disappointed that trump is running because he wants the GOP to go back to being a respectable party. as long as trump is in the picture there's going to be a devolution of sorts in the political process because instead of discussing policy and how the GOP can help the citizens, it's going to become a shitpost marathon like it was in 2016/2018/2020. the sooner the GOP is able to wash their hands of the MAGA movement, the better.

for the most part, i think every current "democrat" poster on the round table is a former republican, and probably still leans right, they just don't like what the GOP has turned into by catering to the lowest common denominator.

Trump is not capable of debate because Trump is lazy and won't read or study topics. That is extremely well documented. Trump claims he is a Christian,but never had to ask Jesus for forgiveness, "Because he doesn't need to". That's mind-blowing to me.

It's kind of a shame really. Trump just handed the White House over to the Dems for 4 more years. Biden is a sucky President and any reasonable Republican candidate would win easily. I would be open to voting for a moderate Republican, but as an Independent I'll NEVER vote for Trump and I suspect most Independents feel that way. The bottom line is that 80% more or less of voters are going to vote Republican Democrat depending on their party affiliation ... No matter the person. That's historically true no matter the popularity of the person or the state of the country. Trump has his base, no doubt. As he said, he could walk out into the street and shoot someone down and he wouldn't lose a single vote from them.

Take Growls as an example... Trump could tell us that the sky is Green and Growls would be on here the next day telling us how blue is really green and posting 5 TGP articles on how the Deep State actually changed the color names just to get Trump.

That belief shapes my entire perspective about politics. If you don't think that's possible and you think that "most politicians" genuinely want what's best for the American Citizen, then we shouldn't go any further because we could never agree.

I don't think we will ever have another President in our lifetime who will do the job for Free. I don't anticipate ever having another President who is "not a politician". I think the corrupt people in this country who continue to suck the money form the American people don't like Trump. I think Trump is a roadblock for them.

There's a reason his own party spent north of $65M against him after they made him sign that he "wouldn't run as an independent". They don't like him. Dems don't like him.
